A selection of the Top 3 Variations performed by Maria Khoreva. How many times you thought "that role is tailored-made for that dancer" ? In this video we'll show a selection of 3 variations that in our opinion are perfect for her!
Here the Queen of Dryads from Don Quixote ( • the QUEEN of the DRYAD... ), Paquita Variation ( • Maria Khoreva - Paquit... ) and the Odalisque variation from Le Corsaire ( • Maria Khoreva - 3d Oda... ).

Extraordinary dancer 'Maria Khoreva' leaves a unique, favourable impression on many people and I am one of them. Listen to her play the piano, of her playing Frédéric François Chopin's Fantaise Impromptu in C Minor Op 66 and you will be captivated, too, definitely. I quite admire Maria Khoreva ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ! Thank you always to @ DanceLine Ballet for sharing ❤️ 😊.

Another Khoreva hater. She’s still so young …. so has a ways to go. Give her time. Please search KZbin … there are WAY WORSE Odalisque’s posted. There is an aesthetic component to ballet which can’t be taught and Khoreva has. If you’re a chunky butt people will not come to the theater.

Someone, anyone, please explain why these ballerinas of today cannot keep those toe shoes quiet. The ballerinas of the years before the end of the 80s and 90s were known for not making a sound on stage. Natasha Makarova, Gelsey Kirkland, Cynthia Gregory, Cynthia Harvey, Virginia Johnson, Rebecca Wright, Francesca Corkle, Ann Marie DeAngelo, divas all and there where others. Susan Farrel, Merrill Ashley...too many to be named but they all had one thing in common which this new breed of so - called Ballerinas know nothing about. They understood what it meant to dance on pointe without making the slightest sound. So what's going on? This is a must for conversation question. They could but these can't? What gives?

Have you ever considered that the audio quality of the past is not the same as it is today?
@heatherjones6647

Not true. I've been at live professional ballet performances since the 1970s, both modern and classical. There is always sound from the pointe shoes, even with a dance floor laid down. It's the reality of gravity. What you hear in this video is both normal and inevitable. I also danced on pointe myself in my youth and was never quiet even when my shoes were becoming too soft.
@rivermountain7315
@rivermountain7315 10 ай бұрын
@@heatherjones6647 There is a very big difference between dancing professionally on pointe and in the studio, which I'm assuming you did. The women I mentioned, the true ballerinas I mentioned, never made a sound because they knew how to break their shoes in before each performance and would never have been caught dead in shoes which made that clucking sound that these new breed of who cares dancers make. The Ballerinas I mentioned, either I know personally or I was at their performance always. I know what I am talking about because that was the case. I actually went on to perform professional myself with 4 different dance companies in New York. Where did you perform other than in a class? Ballerinas were taught in the past to never make a peep on stage while dancing. I guess that isn't being taught any more. Tricks have taken over what once was artistry and quality.

And who said anything about modern anyway. The point being made was about the noise being made while dancing on pointe.
