Elliana danced with a rope and without her arms, jojo danced without her arms and in a bubble, Brooke had to dance with a mic and so did Kenzie, Maddie had to dance with an axe. And there’s probably more that I forget. None of them had a problem with their props. Also, Kendall is the only « OG » besides the Ziegler that has never had a bad choreo solo or bad costume. Abby always gives her good dances with pretty costume. My point is that Jill and the fans need to stop finding her excuses for loosing or dropping her props. It’s on her everytime she looses or drops her prop cause there’s no other excuses.

if i’m honest, kendall did incredible with her solo. i’ve worked with a prop very similar to hers and it’s really hard to control the way it moves. i’m not surprised she wasn’t able to catch it because i wasn’t able to catch mine once before.

I’d actually say Kendall was at an advantage. She had a lot of practice with props already since a lot of her solos had them. Also, props look better on stage and make the choreography more intricate, therefore adding choreography points. Although Maddie was good at dark solos, she rarely got them. I can name only two “dark” solos she got before this dance. It would be harder for Maddie to pull it off because she rarely got dark solos - most of her solos were either happy or sad. Dark solos were something that Abby would normally give Chloe. I feel like this was a challenge for Maddie, but she rose to the occasion and nailed it.

Well she kept giving Maddie turns and she got better. Maddie used to travel a lot and her turns would sometimes be inconsistent but from season 3 and on they were clearly better. You only get better with experience.

Honestly, I feel like this was a rather fair competition. Both girls had competitive choreography and a strong storyline behind their dance. Maddie’s costume was more intricate and added to the story, while Kendall’s prop was daring and added to the story. Both girls performed beautifully, the score really could’ve gone either way. I feel bad for Kendall for accidentally messing up on stage. She executed the trick well in rehearsal but got a bit nervous on stage - which is completely fine, nobody’s perfect. I’m happy that Kendall recovered well from it and kept going strong. And this solo of Maddie’s was by far one of my favorites. Beautiful choreography, song, and costume, much improved technique, and brilliant storytelling. Well done to both girls 👏🏼

@Curious Kmail While I get what you’re saying, Kendall did it just fine in rehearsals. Also, apparently for the real competition, she didn’t actually have to throw it. She performed this solo at a meet and greet where instead of throwing it, she dropped it and picked it up later. I think that the throwing thing was put in just for drama.

Actually she came in third. Maddie and Kalani both preformed perfect score dances at this competition, so they gave Maddie first place because she was younger and Kalani second, but that couldn't be aired because it was insane they both got perfect scores. Kalani's dance was called Fragile Forest, if you want to look it up. Kinda wish they gave the scores for this comp so we could see what Kendall got.

Abby knew what she was doing when she gave Kendall the prop. She knows that Kendall isn’t good them yet she still gave her one to try and ensure another Maddie win. Also, dancing with such a light prop is hard. Abby tried to make it seem simple by just standing and tossing the scarf in the air, while actually dancing, it’s hard to catch a prop that doesn’t go straight up and down especially if you jump in the opposite direction that the prop is going.

I fell bad for mellisa like she looks like she is done with the moms and for once I agree with her, like give the poor mother a break. She doesn't desighn the solos or picks maddie to be the favorite Abby does so give mellisa a break, and start talking to Abby plus maddie works hard and her teqniqe is amazing if kendall or chole or anyone was as good as maddie they would have been the fav, but I do agree there is a little bit of favourtisme included too tho. Maddie sickles a lot. Kendall getting second is a big red flag that there's just not a lot of competition at the comps they go to. That's how they're rigged. Not the placements, but by seeking out comps that no one good goes to, I've been saying it this whole time.

Everyone saying that Kendall shouldn't have been given a prop because she's bad with them, y'all, props are a big part of dance. She's going to have to learn how to dance properly with them anyway if she wants to be a professional dancer. If she can't dance with a prop then her professional entertainment/work opportunities basically dwindle down to zero. I am a theatre major and a lot of my friends are dancers and I've worked on a lot of musicals, she needs to know how to handle props
