I think Brady and Chloe are my two favourite dancers that have been on the team. To me, they’re super relaxed and fluid in their motions, and they seem to follow their movements threw. Idk, Chloe was a beautiful ballerina and did some incredible lyrical dances, and Brady is just amazing in all senses tbh, both icons lol

It takes a lot of time to (master) dancing in water and Abby wants those KIDS to dance without any fear and perfectly in a really short period of time ( 2 days is NOT enough ) and COME ON ABBY, they didn’t even practice with the water 🙃 but I think they did a magnificent job performing it especially after Lilly falling during rehearsal

It was only dangerous without the water because the boxes were slippery on the floor. Rehearsing with water would actually have been safer. That said, I actually loved this choreography and the final performance.

Where are all the other ALDC students? There’s usually pick up scenes of staff teaching other classes. Other than the competition team, the studio is a ghost town.

Well keep in mind the show is heavily produced, so a lot of the scenes that they film actually take place during different times of the day and they edit it to look like it’s being filmed a certain way. So this part might have been filled at night and they edited it. Or there just are no classes going on

You have to remember to be on a tv show you have to have your parents/guardians permission to be filmed even for 1 second. And that second might even be cut out later on in editing... so they might not have got a lot of peoples permission to film their kids this week etc..

Not sure if there actually were other classes going on at the same time as filming Season 8. Previous Dance Moms cast members have mentioned that producers used to shove kids out of the way and go into other rooms and turn off the music if it interfered with filming. They probably wanted the whole building to themselves.

I think they were all homeschooled this season so they could practice during the day instead of the evening like most dance studios. But also Abby has admitted since the show started, enrollment began to decrease and after she went to prison another large group of students left. I don’t think the aldc has that many students anymore sadly.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they were frightened to preform with water. Anything could have happened especially from experience with the stage being slippery and water it makes you that much more legible on getting hurt. I bet it would have made a big difference if they had practiced it with the water more.

I think the only reason this season happened was because Abby’s contract wasn’t finished before going to prison and undergoing treatment. That’s why they got a new cast, because they probably knew none of the older kids would return.
