We had the immense honor of presenting this ballet with the Oakland Ballet in 1980. Anna Sokolow staged it on us and it was by far one of the most challenging and formative experiences for any of us who performed the piece. BTW: she was not always tender..

No, the dance was choreographed in 1972, but the recording is not. It was performed by National Institute of the Arts, Taiwan, 1990. Staged by Yunyu Wang and coached by Anna Sokolow and Jim May.
