So nice to watch beautiful, talented dancers in the video. The music for each dance was authentic. It blended perfectly with the dance.❤

I had dreams of being a ballroom dancer when I was young. I realize now that I did not know then that the best most professional dancers began at an early age. Even though it’s much too late to be so involved; it is so very satisfying to watch! ❤💃🏻🕺

Many people don't start taking lessons until near retirement age when their money and time allows for it.

Oh my goodness, this is not what I was expecting when I wanted to watch ballroom dancing! Why are they leaning backwards and looking away from each other? I guess I'll have to look for vintage ballroom dancing to see beauty and connection...

There is more body connection in modern ballroom than there ever was! Look closely at the dancers' bodies: they are very tightly connected from their chests to their knees! They are not looking into each other's faces, because at that close distance it would feel and look really awkward. Leaning back distributes the couple's mass over a larger 3D space, which gives stability allowing larger, fuller movements, and feels incredibly satisfying, once you have muscles strong enough to keep that frame. It's just how physics naturally works. It's something that unfortunately is hard to understand for someone that doesn't dance...

@rreece90 thank you for that explanation. I'm going to give it another go and watch through that lens...
