The weird cut at the end was because he made mistakes with the ending solo. If you would've watched it till the end you would've saw the bloopers for that. However, I loved this review. I believe the detailing and just overall sultriness from Kai and the other dancers is why I loved this choreo. You can tell they really loved performing and practicing this.

One thing that’s cool with Kai doing his solo stuff is that he personally picked out his fellow dancers. He watched them audition and hand picked them. He’s a very meticulous guy with ballet foundations. Honestly he’s a joy to watch when he performs. He for sure is just one of those people who really flourishes on a stage

Kai is just beautiful to watch because of his details and the beautiful lines he makes. He's a classically trained dancer but he can pull off many dance styles. I love even though this was obviously very hip hop based, it became very contemporary/lyrical at the end which showcases his training. He's sexy obviously as well but a powerful dancer on top of that. It's no wonder he's friends with some of the top dancers in the kpop industry. I'm so excited you did Kai and one of his best friends, Taemin, lately. Looking forward to the MV reactions as well

At the end he messed so there was a slight cut. If you continued to the very end of the video after it went black, they showed bloopers of him messing up that one movement multiple times but you paused it before it could show

Kai is not only incredibly versatile, he also has such a cinematic imagination. He clearly knows what he wants all his MVs to look like from the styling to the effects and angles. I would highly recommend you check out not only the MV for Mmmh but also Kai Film which includes a bit of choreo and mini scenes for each of the tracks on his debut solo mini album. And his online concert, called Kloor, is such an experience. He tells stories and evokes mood so beautifully xx

The video is amazing, adding transitions that work well with each other. Kai is considered one of the best dancers in k pop. A lot of fans, no matter what group you are a fan of, all agree that the top 3 are Taemin (Shinee,) Jimin (BTS,) and Kai (EXO). But depending on who u speak to will determine the order of dancers. The funny thing about all of this is that fandoms will always fight (ARMY and EXOL's, not Shawols) but all three dancers are the best of friends, Taemin and Kai are the most. One last thing, as I'm sure u know that Jimin studied contemporary and Hip Hop. Kai studied Ballet. And that is what he wanted to do until he was recruited to train to be an idol. And the rest, well you get what was going to say.

It might have been related or not. So I have watched several behind the scenes on SM artists workshop when they started a song to how they decided on a choreo (I watched BoA's and Taemin's in particular, also LAY). Usually a choreographer came up with an initial choreo, some of them are very lyrical (example: Rikimaru, Koharu), some of them are more about wow point. After a choreographer relayed their choreography to the artist, the two of them will start examining and tweaking them according to the artist's demand (usually its a free discussion and throwing ideas and movement in the training room). But the key point is, for audience to relate more to the song, is by putting a trendy choreo on the chorus (means it is should be easily recreated by non-dancer audience). It works for spreading the song with dance challenges in Tiktok and Instagram. In addition, people can also dance the sequence now when there are concerts 😆

My guess on the ending with the cut is to make the effect of teleporting since that's what he did in the music video during that section, seems a bit odd to interject it in a dance practice but the way it was edited makes it seem so.

if you watch the full dance practice video at the end they put the scenes they cut, because he made mistakes right at that ending part! so instead of repeating and filming the whole thing again and again they decided to cut it and put just that last move done properly ☺️
