LAY is a crazy talented artist, I'm so happy you're finally checking out his stuff. I think he works his choreo along side with TRIX (his krump teacher). I'm not sure if you've already watched his dance practice and live performance for LIT. I freaking love what he did with that, he's just amazing! And he actually opened up his own dance and music studio. I miss him in EXO, but I'm really happy for all the things he has acomplished on his own. You need to watch him in Street Dance of China Seasons 3 and 4. He's a mentor, and he's amazing. Alongside Jackson Wang, Yibo and Henry Lau. BTW, Dance practice for The Eve of EXO, pfffff!!!!!!!! 🤯

I totally agree. This video was clean. That is how Lay flows...he is a perfectionist, and a born dancer. You should check out more of Lay's dance practice for other mvs, for him, itt needs to be perfect, and although he is the artist, he expects nothing less from those he teaches his choreography to. He loves to create. Check out his latest dp for "Flying Apsaras", a more Chinese influenced dance and song, may look simple to some, but Lay has good balance and creative insight. 💙🌺

Lay is one of the biggest artists in China. He's an actor, singer, producer, songwriter and a GREAT dancer and also hosts a lot of dance battle shows in China too. That's why he's known as "multitalented king" in the fandom. You need to check out his latest dance practice video, "Flying Apsaras". I'm telling you it's an absolute ART! And btw about the views that you pointed out earlier in the video, people don't use KZbin in China. I believe it's banned or something, so they have their own platform in there.

he brings in completely different style of dance in every mv .. I mean that would b so hard. Another thing is isolations which I love the most about any choreo .. he is best in isolations in entire kpop coz he doesn't put too much of muscle strength in his moves he is very relaxed .. his dancing is all balance n core control. And that may b the reason people don't recognize how difficult the choreos r coz he doesn't put a lot of power in every move to attract attention.

I agree the most with the comments saying you should check out his DP for "Flying Apsaras". That is true beauty, my heart hurt a little after watching it. And his EXO mate Kai's solo song "Peaches", the DP for that one. I'm not a dancer/chor. but I think the choroe lets not just Kai shine, but the dancers as well; they don't feel like "back-up dancers", they're a part of the performance as well.

Might give an answer to your question. Recently youngers might be attracted more to K-pop etc, less people as you guys still know the feeling of old school style. Lay and his teammates do so smoothly charming hip pop both in him music and dance, making this piece another level. They are from Asia but show off the perfect feeling of hip pop, it is amazing. That is why many western dancers include you say it is a masterpiece. You should watch the official MV, that is another kind of perfection.

Lay is a krumper and I think I recalled you also krump too. Since you have expertise in this style it would be great to see you react to "Street Dance of China" where Lay is a leader of a team in Season 3 and 4. The 4 teams have solo and group freestyle battles as well as dance pieces they perform to compete in order to stay in the show. It contains various styles like break dance, wacking, hip hop, locking, krump etc. Lay wanted to expand krump in China since it's not as popular amongst the other styles in the country so he did a lot of battles with krump. I highly recommend season 4 (there are English captions) they had GOGO brothers and other household names that you would be even more familiar with being a dancer yourself. I would love your insight and break down of the battles and whether you agree with the judges on who was victorious in the battles.

Yixing (Lay) has a lot of other dance practices & MVs that I'd love to see your opinion on how he tackles various styles of dance & music. (Two of my favorites are Lose Control and Give Me A Chance^.^) He excels in street dances, but he's nothing to scoff at when it comes to dancing jazz or contemporary styles either imo~~~ I'd also really like to hear your opinion on another kpop group called VIXX. They're one of the few groups that almost managed to steal my attention away from EXO; there is just something about their artistry, especially in their dances~ I always appreciate a story being told, and VIXX is very good at that^.^

Well when it comes to Exo and the talents of all 9 members, which includes Lay, they do have millions of fans around the world, and a huge following...but they are considered "that other group", who are the rivals of the younger group Bts, where fandoms have a toxic relationship. There are haters and toxic fake fans on both sides, but the Bts Army are a strong fandom, and ever since Bts' surge in popularity over the past few years, and their strong promotions in America, Bts is more in the public eye because of being in the Western scene, and they are a great group. Exo is a great group too, but they are more r&b, pop, love songs type of group, old school, mellow, crooning type of older group sound. Bts is current, hard hitting rap and dance group, which resonates with the music generation of today....Exo's Kai and Lay are the main dancers of Exo, but they also sing. Exo fans support all that Exo does, and all solo work members have done. So because Lay is in China, he does not gain the recognition that he deserves...he is a great artist, and we fans love everything he does. And Exo has a massive following without promotions in the Western scene, including our dance King Lay. 💙🌺
