Something I really appreciate with Taemin is that his dance practices are actually a practice and not treated as a performance. Sure he has mastered the choreo and is in the final stages of mastering it, but we can see the difference between live performance and dance practices.

the eye focus - that's why taemin is the best performer in kpop (to me) once he's got a hold of you that's it lmao he's extremely focused without his movements lacking feeling, if that makes sense - he's 100% in the performance but he never looks robotic or like he's anticipating the next steps, he's just ... moving i want him back so bad 😭 and i'm so sorry but famous is 100000% the best technical taemin choreo, argue w your mum

Regarding looking in the mirror, Taemin is an artist...the main event not a dance major therefore making eye contact is vital in kpop, a world of difference from western music as a whole...he's an entertainer and checking your stage is vital to the overall performance.

That's why I usually am not the biggest fan of Tae's dance pratice videos, because he's too focused on the mirror, which takes away some of his "magic" while performing.
