The way that the choreography for Taeyeon is so minimal, but sets of/triggers the back up dancers is like how a god like Artemis both exists in but is also the centre of activity of all the nymphs around her. They sometimes distract the god, but they also reflect and amplify the god's sentiment. The way Taeyeon glides around the stage and maintain the centre with minimised movements really nails the "heartbroken god" image

this is such a lovely way to put it. great analysis! it just makes it all the more mesmerizing. the whole choreo feels like the nymphs are the environment around her like he said. I especially love that the viewer is drawn to the backup dancers as well and not just Taeyeon as the soloist...apart from playing into the whole "they ARE the scene" idea, and the fact that it plays into the mythological theme, it just gives the performance so much more oomph and body since the backup dancers help tell the story and the space is really maximized. theyre so good. Taeyeon, the choreographer, her dancers, and everyone involved in the styling and prod of INVU just did such a spectacular job.
