NCL Jade Cruise Vlog #3 - Island Time - Harvest Caye Part 1

Visiting Harvest Caye, NCL's Private Island, very photogenic. This place is clean and pretty, it's not included in the price of the cruise, everything has a cost. We had a great time, check out our next video for part 2!

Great video. The island resort looked really nice. Cant believe you were alone in the big pool on the Jade that morning but that is what is great about a Jewel class ship and not a mega ship. I can tell you guys had Bliss expectations coming off such a recent mega ship so recently.

We really did enjoy it, yes its different lots of things cannot compare, still so much fun and I would definitely go back on the Jade :)

Loved the sarcasm. I guess on smaller ships with less to do the emphasis is on not doing much and trying to relax. The island looked great. Even the big ugly tankers lol 😂

Hey!!! Right, smaller ship = more down time, less activities but still an amazing time!! I really love that island... Its clean, beautiful, fun and has several things to do, yes, even with the oil tankers :) Still beats being home by a thousand percent!! LOL

Oh my, you made my day with the thoughtful words!! Exactly, whateves is right ;) baby beer cans I think we got 5 or 6 it was quite the surprise how tiny they were. Lol oh well we just go with it!!

Great blog! Harvest Caye is one of the few places I haven't been to - so thanks for the info. Where did you get your waterproof bag? I need to et one of those.

Amazon, it does work great! I worry about that stuff but it really does a great job, the only water that got in the bag was when my wet hand reached in for something :)

Bag of little beers lol!! That was so interesting. Harvest Caye does not include drinks unfortunately, their other private island Great Stirrup Caye does though, and snacks and food which is great! You pay for renting floaties or excursions and local vendors merch, they are both beautiful, clean, amazing places to spend a day!

That's the zipline tower, it looks cool! I just dont have the guts to do it :) you always hear people scream as they fly over you!

@@GulfCoastGirl I would only do zipline at Amber Cove or on Royal megaship. They only last a few seconds, and have most stringent safety standards

Good point, I did the zipline on the Escape which was short so not so bad, I think I will just enjoy those from the ground :)

This is a good question!! I've only been on NCL ships, I would have to say Bliss was just so amazing, as far as destination depending on what I am in the mood for... St. Thomas was a great island experience for touring and such and Great Stirrup Caye was my favorite private island for the ultimate beach day, clear water, food included, everything is close together :)

we booked a NCL cruise on the joy to Bermuda in sept 2021 but a ton of people we met on the breakaway are all going together on this one in Jan 2021, 12 day Caribbean cruise and I am thinking about booking. I am thinking my hubby might like the smaller ship. we can try it at least lol. I prefer the bigger ones but all he cares about is the drink package and the casino so it doesnt really matter.

Thanks for the comment!The inside room was just fine I thought, I liked the ocean view that was a first for us, we don't mind not having things to do. That's actually nice sometimes on a cruise, more noticing and it's all good
