Often wondered how feature roles in dances are determined? Is it given to graduates, or is it earned based on competition wins from previous season? Any info?

Not sure for this specific team, But usually it’s the strongest dancer in the specific style of dance. Or it’s a very consistent dancer that the teacher/coach knows will perform well.
