@Lloocii3 ай бұрын
@noahnipperus7320 I like Clowncore. I find the comical metal style over top of jazzy rhythmic elements and crazy sax solos to be just outside of the box enough to be intriguing. I can't say I'm a big fan of Knower, but I can appreciate the talent. If you want another great drummer to check out, try J.D. Beck. Him and his friend Domi on keys do some really crazy stuff. And if we're talking about drummers, Aric Improta's Blue Lights in the Videodrome is probably one of the greatest performances ever. You'll see things you've never seen or heard before. As for Zach Hill, I'm a big math rock fan. Although I never really enjoyed Hella. Big Don Caballero fan, though. I think Damon Che, their drummer, does a very interesting thing by playing the lead with his drums. Also, since you mentioned mathrock tangentially, Lavaland by Piglet is the best math rock album of all time. Imo, of course.

I love this because it arguably sounds even more dissonant than the original. The atonality of distortion and metal vocals do a lot to hide some of the clashing but with such clear instruments, and especially these because they have such instant attack and decay per note, none of the maddening dissonant note choices have anywhere to hide. Also really shows how well meshuggah writes because even though this sounds like queue outside the gates of hell is absolutely gorgeous

Wow! Where to start… First of all, great work! This is the last thing I would expect to hear from a concert percussion group. Not only is this from an insane band but this is one of their deepest cuts. This song is so incredible. It’s too bad most people would never sit through the ten minutes of it, but they should! I’ve been playing drums to this for years and I’m still not at %100. There’s a section in the middle where the drummer quits playing the quarter notes but the snare is still on 3, while the other hand plays accents with the guitars. Anyway, good stuff and great performance!
