@AceyBlade I want your opinion on Goffredo and his partner. To me his spins are crazy good, but he appears to be throwing his hips around in an exaggerated fashion well beyond the bending and straightening of the legs. He also appears to be way up on his toes with his heels way off the floor. His style is over the top from my standpoint.

I feel ever since Nino and Kristina won the European Championship, the WDSF crew have become even crazier - especially the female dancers... I see a lot of changing of the trends and the loss of femininity, which is alarming.

Its mera me tin mera, and it is not a samba song (as everything in this video is not samba).Antique was a Swedish-Greek singing duo consisting of Elena Paparizou (Έλενα Παπαρίζου in Greek) and Nikos Panagiotidis (Νίκος Παναγιωτίδης in Greek) originating from Sweden which combined Greek popular music and lyrics with a Nordic dance pop beat. To say that it is samba is the same as saying cows can fly.

This is how you know the new judging system is still just the skating system with more numbers. A couple like Goffredo and Matus should not be scoring a 9 for physical connection, because they hardly ever have it. When they do, its all too much pull and push. In my opinion they don't even connect emotionally, they ARE two solo dancers on the floor, even when they touch.

I think you're missing the point. I don't think these guys are losing masculinity. However to show that they're the dominant part in dancing, they pull out more tricks, more spins, more head flipping, more finger pointing just to name a few. Before we know it, Latin dancing will look Kungfu fighting. What we are losing is the quality of dancing and the ARTISTRY.

I like your tiny nutshell. A hint of the differences between the two organization is in their names. There's very little framing in the WDSF, too much individuality and not enough partnering. I do follow the WDSF because they make themselves available on KZbin unlike the WDC. It's ashame the WDC is not as available on YT as the WDSF. The more people they can get to see them, the more interest and publicity they get.
