Found a rather quirky beat em up with nice cartoonish graphics and an expressive artstyle. As someone who loves beat em ups I had to try it.
Plot is pretty simple. Set in the 90s, four of our lovely Divas Viva, Hina, Sofia, and Bahati are invited to The "Beat It" Club for a special performance. They also brought along some of their sacred treasure for display. Behind the scenes is our main villain Van Bad plotting to steal the sacred treasures then the game begins.
On to the combat, it's a mix between streets of rage and final fight. There's you're usual attack button, jump, and special. It's got a power meter too that knocks out all enemies (it deals a lot of damage when you're faced with a boss). The air attacks are a bit on the clunky side but it works fine if you do a short jump then kick. Grappling can be a bit of a nuisance at times because you're prone to getting hit when you have enemies on both sides. Also really love that characters can run in here. It makes grappling and dodging easier (also makes bahati extremely useful).
As for the characters it has your usual final fight skill asset which is Power, Balance and Speed BUT the newest skill this game has is reach (which is only for one character).
We have the lovely Diva, the most balanced of the four. Flexible Hina, also a balanced character but has more reach. The powerful and amazing Bahati, the power house who controls like a certain mayor I love. And last but not the least the quick and lovely Sofia, she has speed on her side but she can be a bit of a struggle to use.
Music is nice and catchy.
Graphics are nice and colorful, the artstyle is on the cartoony side (kinda like the simpsons arcade) and I love the lewd character cameos in the game.
Overall, it's a fun beat em up that pays homage to other classic beat em ups. The demo is on steam so give it a try!
