I needed this. At my son's funeral last summer I played Sky World for his journey home and this song is so appropriate for how I feel today. Thank you for this. He died in the Yukon on icy roads. I love this song all my people who were my biggest supporters have gone home and I've been left alone in my hardest time but I know I'm not alone they walk beside and guide my footsteps I will be strong I have Cherokee blood I will not let them down my ancestors walked paths much more difficult than me I may not be full blood or even able to claim them since were not on any Dawes roll but that does not make my blood tie any less or my affinity for native culture any less I still feel the hurt my grandmother felt growing up trying to hide her native culture
