Whilst it wasn't what we are used to , it was still good. They are very very talented in what they do. I just read from Darren's Facebook page that Andy Seymour has just resigned and that is in addition to Nikki and obviously Darren. All have been instrumental to the growth of HSCC and for that can I thank them plus making my life in this lockdown period a little better. I don't know what the story is but we just need to move on. Keep living the dream.

ABBA songs are extremely hard to replicate, near impossible. Agnetha and Frida had amazing voices, that blended well together. Their vocals too were triple tracked using vari-pitch. This gave the songs warmth and depth. I have yet to hear any band cover an ABBA song that was awesome. Often too they are out rhythmically.

@@silvergolden1 Umm no. It's best to reply to the band, the fans don't make the music, the fans support the band. If the band is to thrive it needs constructive criticism when 'needed'. If the band can take all the praise and support during the good and without ego it should be willing to take the negative to help them realize where they might be failing. This was a 'fail'. Arguing with other fans isn't going to help. Most every negative comment I've read is from a fan that simply expressed the truth but is still 'a fan'... no desertion from liking or loving the band. The band almost always receives high praise for their covers from everyone whom listens,, myself included. Old rule of thumb, if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. These guys are great, but in order to stay great they need to understand where and when they slip...its healthy, if not, they crash and burn. ✌

Some people should consider being a little less critical about all this. Think about it, it’s not like we’ve paid to go and buy a recording and were then disappointed, we have 100+ performance videos available to us by HSCC showcasing some of our finest musicians here in Australia. There’s a crap load of work and effort that goes into each one of these recordings, so let’s just support the guys. Yes it’s different since Darren left, it has to be given the number of hats he wore, but it’s not bad, it’s just different. Not every song will appeal to everyone, but let’s still show our support and encourage the HSCC team.

I read comments regarding the three ladies singing this ABBA classic. You guys have no idea how difficult the vocal parts of this song are. Agnetha Fältskog had an extraordinary voice range, ( D3 - E♭6 , three octaves, one semitone), almost an unicum in the modern music genre. That’s the reason why so few singers dare making an ABBA-cover. It wasn’t perfect, sure, but they gave it their very best. And they showed that they had the balls to do it! Thank you girls!

Agreed. Every week since Darren left I have been disappointed. When I saw they were doing an ABBA number I thought things might turn around. Nope, this was really ordinary. Like others have said, a wedding band perhaps? It's just not the quality that used to be around. I have the HSCC 4 album on constant playing on my bathroom's SONOS (yep, I sing vrey badly in the shower! haha) and it's spectacular. As a keyboard player, Dave Ross was always a brilliant pairing with Darren. They keys on Owner Of A Lonely Heart, brilliant. It's not technically challening to play, but its' tight and he really knows that Korg Workstation. I don't know what's different, but it is. The magic isn't there for me anymore and it looks like I'm not the only one.
