Dancing Room - Dance drama. Music by Muzsikás

Movie of Simon Broughton, BBC, based on the coreography of Kate Flatt on the music of Muzsikás, Hungary. Flourishing cooperation of the contemporary dance and the traditional Hungarian folk music. The movie were made inside an old cellar in London.

No not an old cellar but a disused government bonded warehouse called Clink St Vaults on South Bank behind the old Clink prison. Co-devised by Sally Jacobs and Kate Flatt it features the traditional Hungarian band Muzsikás was shown on BBC2 Easter 1995.The dancers are a fantastic team put together for the tour of it and some surprising names appear. Kenneth Tharp, Bernadette Iglich and Ana Pons Carrera for example! The work also appeared at Dance Umbrella in Autumn 1994.
