As a Brit, I laughed aloud at seeing M&S brands, as its a British chain of shops, and they're known for selling luxury goods that are usually twice the price as a regular shop. I currently live in China, and I was pleasantly surprised to find an M&S in Shanghai. Lovely fact to learn that they're in Singapore too! Thanks for another great video!

Don't boil ready to eat soups. It breaks down the ingredients which are already cooked. You just need to gently warm it to just boiling point. You can see in the video the chowder just starting split, and that's because it brought to a rapid rolling boil.
@GeorgeMonet
@GeorgeMonet 3 жыл бұрын
It already was if you look at it while it was packaged. I remember looking at the package thinking "I hope that isn't chowder because it's already ruined".
@snowysnowyriver
@snowysnowyriver 3 жыл бұрын
@@GeorgeMonet I agree. Chowder is not the best kind of soup to put into those packets. It's a king among soups (if it can even be called a soup) and deserves more respectful handling. Nothing nicer than a beautiful chowder.

There are a few different producers internationally so you need to be careful with the country of origin. China is the main producer and uses a forced farming technique. Japanese unagi is either naturally caught or farmed using a seeding technique that ensures the eels lead a natural life before returning to spawn. All said though. I don't think it is anything special. It is a protean with an inflated price with little cost/value benefit.

Unagi is more exotic,you can find turkey anywhere but eel you don’t see every day,so you’re surprised it’s so reasonably priced but $17 dollars for a one person meal of turkey (which you see all the time)seems ridiculous 🤷🏻‍♀️

The intro scared me a sec because of the lady speaking cantonese and I thought it was my mum talking for a moment there 😂 good video as always!, hope that the meals that you have bought didn't take too much of your wallet 😅 and have a nice thanksgiving!

Those prawns do look amazing. Next time boil them so you can control the cooking better. Microwaves a bit hit or miss.

-Shows tuna burguer- Me: Holy spoon! A burguer I can actually eat!! (can't eat beef because of stomach problems, and vey rarely eat chicken or turkey for the same reason). My stomach: Mmmmm... alright, it has caramelized onions, I approve.

The fish & chips in particular looked yummy, but I was surprised at the breading; normally British fish has a smoother beer based batter coating. But as long as it tasted good, then all's well ends well, yes? Raviolis are one of my favorite pasta dishes, for sure, and those looked good.

i can’t understand how M&S still had business selling their oven Fish&Chips in SG when you can go to local hawker centre or foodcourt and easily buy a better tasting fish & chips for like 6-7 dollars 😭
