A bit of clarification. We saw her take 30,000 yen out of the envelope before buying the dress. She most likely owed money to the yakuza, those men were her handlers/pimp. She took the cash out of the payment money, thus the debt collectors beat her up and took her child

14:02 the crab was the manifest of those things that happened to the girls, granny has a different story I think involving old women being abandoned on the mountains. But she did go there to protect the crab

Theres a bit of unmentioned lore, the longer yokai walk the more they lose the memories of their humanity. People figured out by the time Silky saw Aira for the first time it's in the 20-30 year range, which is why she could only remember that she was looking for someone and made the 1+1 connection, thinking Aira was her daughter. The real kicker though is the opening scene, it wasn't just a visual flair, the hard cut shows that you're seeing through Silky's eyes - she was linking the memory and believed that Okarun and Momo were the ones who took her daughter away from her.

She was paying the gangs down there by working all those jobs and selling her body. She took more money then usual to buy her daughter that nice dress and they came to collect her debt. Lots of the time they’ll sell kids in different ways whether it’s organ donation or other darker things. But it’s presumed both mother and daughter died as they move on together or are in the afterlife together

2:45 It's not about him not remembering. He's basically saying that so far everything he accomplished was a tangent of him running for his life but he never intentionally landed blows on anyone. Which is why when he tries a minute later the effect is far more devastating than in the previous cases.

thinking that Turbo is a patron spirit of unfortunate women... that she was being harsh to Silky to prevent Momo from blaming herself and spiraling. also served as a sleight of hand for the author to deceive the audience and land another body blow

TurboG's statement about "no stranger" is poignant as Aira was not a stranger to Acro-Silky, having been the only one to see her when she was a kid. TG being cold and cynical acted to prompt Aira into action - hence her hug and final words to Acro-Silky to give her the peaceful goodbye.

No. The girl Aira’s mom passed away when she was a little girl. She was just sensitive to seeing ghost probably due to going through her mother dying and moving on around the encounter with Afro Silky on the sidewalk

According to other comments I have seen it is implied in the Manga that the daughter also passed away(shortly after being taken.) The two are shown to be reunited in the afterlife.

No, the daughter died not long after being kidnapped. She died in the same dress that was gifted to her by her mother on her birthday, the same day she was kidnapped.
