The sad thing is many people judge the whole thing from just the first episode and didn’t stick around for greatness. I really don’t understand why people were out off by it. Ok, well I wouldn’t say that, but those scenes were intentionally supposed to be uncomfortable. You weren’t supposed to like it. It’s not fan service.

I’m definitely one of those people but my reasoning for dropping this anime was because those scenes were just put there for no reason. Narratively anything else could’ve been used at that point because the Minor about to get r*ped scene serves LITERALLY no narrative or deeper purpose except for just being there. It could’ve just as easily been replaced with a scene of the girl just straight up almost dying or her feeling powerless to stop her own abduction and that would’ve been a lot better. What proved it even more were the following episodes/ manga chapters where the same kind of stupid un needed scenarios happened and served no narrative purpose again. It’s just vague cover ups at this point.

The entire reason for the scene is because the biggest alien abduction trope is aliens probing people. That's like one of the most well known things people think happens when aliens abduct someone. And while it's certainly a weird scene and even weirder trope in the first place, it's not even that outrageous compared to things that are shown in many anime.

It wasn’t supposed to be a good thing. You were supposed to hope that she gets out of there and kicks their asses. Which she does. It’s fine if people aren’t comfortable with those scenes, but I don’t get why they have to tell lies about the author. Crazy.
