Those moments where artistes talk to fans started mostly with BTS. Even after this they go on live after each concert to talk to armys and see how much they enjoyed the show. They do this for every show and I mean every show, even their recent concerts they had before hiatus. Yoongi also did the same after his solo concerts. You can tell they just genuinely want to communicate with the fans

By every show this also means after doing a promotion or guesting at a music or talk show especially when they are overseas . Does not matter if they do it as a group or individually or in twos or threes. BTS will go live (Weverse and previously Vlive) right after any public engagement even award shows to connect with Army. They don't even attend after parties. Aren't they just incredibly thoughtful, humble and generous with their time for Army?

I read somewhere that many groups in Korea starting connecting to their fans the way BTS does because they can see how meaningful it is. When they speak to the fans during a concert they call it “Ments”, not sure if that is for statements, or sentiments, but it’s really nice and you can tell it’s genuine. Ty!

Yes, you'll notice that a lot of groups that came after BTS was inspired by BTS like SB19 but I believe there is no other who were able to replicate the same level of love, bond and dedications that BTS and ARMY have for each other. To a lot of the ARMY, BTS is an integral part of their existence. It's very personal that goes far beyond being just dedicated infatuated fans and BTS knows and feels the same way. This may sound corny but there is an inexplicable strong cosmic or spiritual bond that connects and exist only between BTS and ARMY where once you make it, you feel and know you're bonded for life. It's something that you have to experience it, to know it. I think ARMY know what I'm saying. They become and extension of ourselves and vice versa. Suffice to say that BTS and ARMY truly, genuinely love each other like no other. APOBANGPO!😄

People tend to forget, this is how they started, youtube vlogs while others were on t.v. promoting, Bts were putting out predebut covers or songs on KZbin, Soundcloud, etc....while also going live....so it has became normal for them to go live, same as Twitter, theyve used Twitter from the beginning, the company allowed them to just promote themselves on these platforms, which I believe they love doing, all these Social Media engagements made them Top Social Artist at BBMAS for 5 years in a row since 2017, Armys worked really hard for those, the first time they actually appeared on a Billboard chart was in 2015 they were # 171 on BB200 with this album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.2", this is the album that got them a really huge following outside of Korea as well, it became so relatable to many people in and outside of Korea....Jimin has a tattoo, I believe his right side where his ribcage, it says "Nevermind", this songs means alot to him, means alot to me as well...

There’s no other group like BTS. There’s no other producer, mentor, father figure, big Brother and boss like Bang PD. There’s no other fans like ARMY. BTS write, compose and produce their own music that’s why they could talk to ARMYs like they do since it’s their own blood, sweat and tears. The lyrics are their thoughts. The melodies are their emotions and feels. The choreographies are their interpretations. The album is their passion. The outcome and achievements are their hardwork. Their ARMYs are their success and their life line while BTS is our support and happiness. Other KPop groups doesn’t have the freedom that BTS has. They are often controlled and manipulated by their company or CEO. Since you mentioned BP... unlike BTS, Blackpink doesn’t create their own music... they’re just there to record the album and perform. Their album doesn’t even sell like most KPop groups like Exo, Big Bang, Twice, Straykids, Seventeen, TXT and many others. They are just popular because of their talent, their fans and the hype YG is giving them. In what I have heard, BP was promoted as the female version of BTS and that’s the main reason why they caught the interest of the people in the US. While KPop are more fan driven, the western artists are more money and fame driven. This is just my opinion.

when I saw them at Allegiant they did 3 different ments each night. The first usually happens after the first few songs and is them saying hello and Introducing themselves. the 2nd is after their set choreo pieces and that is informal and they talk about how they're feeling each night - and it's always different. they will talk about the travel, the day, the previous show, or whatever is on their mind really. The final ments is usually when they thank the crowd, when they say the concert is coming to an end (and we all know they still have 4 or 5 more songs), they usually tease ARMY and we do a few practice and then a stadium wave. (they've teased us when we don't do it good enough for them to see). They often talk about how their feeling. Namjoon has told us to stop worrying about them not winning a Grammy and to ignore haters. we get love, lectures, laughter. They also have "ARMY TIME" while they are changing (near end of show) where they flash all the signs ARMY has made , country flags, fun ARMY outfits, etc on the big screen - giving time to the fans (I believe the guys have monitors where they can watch this as well). When shows come to an end they literally lay on the floor as the curtain closes or are on their tiptoes as the stand descends so they can see ARMY for every last possible second. I've been to thousands of concerts and festivals in my 58 years and i have NEVER experienced anything like a BTS concert or the kind of tru connection and love they have for their fans. it truly is magical.

I love The Most Beautiful Moment in Life era… I didn’t even know BTS existed in 2015, but the songs and MVs capture perfectly the restlessness and hesitancy of leaving your youth behind. Many of us run toward adulthood and forget to savor the bittersweet moments life unfolding . 🥹 BTS has captured this nostalgia so perfectly, re-visiting this era is somehow so cathartic, and one of the kajillion ways fans can’t help connecting. 💜

In a previous reaction you discussed Suga relationship with his father. In this video I believe you missed the part where Suga gave his parents a formal bow (32:09) to show extreme gratitude and cried. By now he had worked through the initial part of his parents not being happy about his career and if you have not already learned they did it from a stand point of being poor. Like all good parents they just wanted the best for their children, to live better lives than they did especially if full of hardships which his life was. Suga got a job as a trainee to send money home to his family. As discussed in his songs ( one mv states how Suga parents went with him to a phys hospital, had a severe shoulder injury for 8-10 years before being operated on, severe pain, in rehearsals mv, shows, didnt tell any one did not want to be removed as a trainee). ,Also, their lives seems to be full of all these great experiences. Once you delve a little deeper you will realize that when they traveled at least for tours, there was not much time to site see. Watch Suga Road to D Day Disney Channel I believe. He did not even know travel could be fun. He (like the others worked constantly) work and slept. That is to me what the slogan Fighting is about. They had constant obstacles. I heard recently they did not see their family for two years. When it is your choice that is one thing, not when it is for work that is different. They rarely got a day off. They nearly dis banded in 2018. Also, they did this for themselves, but also for Army. They feel a great responsibility in doing a job and doing it well ( I would say most Asians). Most Americans have lost that as well as respect for their family, for their elders. Y'all have not even begun to know who these gentlemen are. A lot of what y'all discuss is part of their culture, and were raised to be that way, like bringing honor to their family. I wish you success in your journey.

well said. Yes, the 1st 2 yrs they could not see their families. It's sad. But on the other hand it's better than Jackson Wang's story from Got 7. All of his career he never saw his family. It was 7 yrs maybe more. I can't remember what he said in an interview. I was shocked at that news. After he left the agency and created his own he got a house and moved his parents in with him. It was really sweet.

BTS was the first group to have such deep, transparent and reflective speeches and conversations at their concerts, and most of the time, it's obvious it wasn't something strategic but spontaneous... They talked a lot - even at their UN speech - about the stories they read in the letters ARMYs send to them and the fact that they're aware about the fans who are struggling in their lives, which as fans is something very comforting... Of course other groups did talk to their audience before BTS but as you said it was never that deep and wise.... Now, a lot groups, old or new, try to do the same but it doesn't feel as authentic as BTS... The group you mentionned, SB9, were inspired a lot by BTS in their attitude, sadly they even copied a lot of their concepts.

Trueeeee. I have same observation. Filipina Army here. Yes they copied a lot of concepts, I don't really know them that we and just heard a few when it trended but just started to take interest because a lot of channel I like reacts to them but I am a bit hesitant still because you can just clearly see that they took 'too much' inspiration and I still have this protective streak towards our bangtan boys and their art bec they worked so hard for everything.

BTS paved the way in how to develop a true and lasting relationship with their fans. They have always been authentic, honest and vulnerable. This developed IMHO in 2 ways. First, how each member was brought up by their family in their core values and Second, how Bang PD encouraged them to be themselves, write their own lyrics, music and giving them the freedoms to be themselves online. They didn’t have the opportunity to promote themselves in the “Normal” way due to lack of funds. They all became creative and went to KZbin. They didn’t edit their videos they uploaded. They recorded and uploaded and Army was able to really see them and get to know them. They realized the best way to make it was to work together and encourage each other. They did have their fights and Bang PD’s rule was you can fight - if it came to being physical - okay, but ALL 7 had to come together with the solution and let Bang PD know how they worked it out. Very wise. They always go live after concerts and talk to the fans. Even at the Grammys - they didn’t go to the after parties - they gathered together and went live with Army. Their after concert live viewing had more people watching than the actual Grammys. They are ambitious and that makes sense, but they are humble and hardworking - this I believe they each learned from their parents. Kudos to those that raised these amazing 7 and their siblings. 💜👏🏽😊🌟

Beside they communicate at stage with Army, after they done their concert, they always do live streaming too to communicate with Army so they can talk n share too with Army who didnt go to their comcert. Beside to say thank u, they also sharing their thoughts n feelings at that moment n do something silly to make us laugh. They also always do live streaming after they received an award (sometimes they also do streaming before the event it started n tell us how nerveous they are, just like when they went to billboard, ama n grammy for the first time. And then they will do live streaming again after the award show end). I can say, among artists, BTS is the most do live streaming to communicate, celebrate n sharing with Army, either in their important events or just casual talking where they do suddenly whenever they want to talk with us. And it's in a free apps (some of groups only do live streaming on paid streaming app) or some group they only do live streaming when they want to make comeback only. I hesitate to relate this story but you brought up the difference between Black Pink's crowd interaction and BTS's. I think, and I could be wrong, an interaction between BTS and Black Pink the time period of this Chapter 9 was quite revealing. Black Pink at the time were trainees in YG coming up behind what was the industry's biggest male group, Big Bang, with several legendary stars so their upbringing was different than BTS's. This was the time of the misogyny smear, so some were seeing BTS's shine coming off. While there was this context when BTS attempted to show respect to BP twice bowing and saying hello at a major award show in which Big Bang would be performing and receiving awards. BP opted not to acknowledge BTS's polite gestures on both occasions. To me BP members may have been shy but, especially given the kind of self-promoting material they were about to debut with, were like high school cheerleaders hanging with the American football quarterback and turning their nose up on other "dweebs" trying to interact with them. BP had yet to achieve a debut so were mostly the subject of anticipation. I think BP's having Big Bang as a stable mate gave them a sense of entitlement which BTS never had. BTS never had a "big brother". They arose on their own. Life and the internet certainly shot down BTS from the start. They had to earn each of their fans one by one. As impressive as the 2015 ARMY counts listed in this video were, we are talking about a fanbase numbering in the thousands not the millions after years of work. So BTS always has had a sense that things do not come automatically which is why they emphasize we will work harder and often finish expressions of this with fighting. It is why they acknowledge and share with their fanbase religiously. I am not sure BP given the Big Bang spoon that they were blessed with had to work quite as hard to have a fan base materialize. So I don't get pounded, let me give an example from HYBE of how spoons work. I absolutely love TXT but their history shows how being prepositioned as the next within a corporation behind a behemoth group can provide a fan base advantage even before ever getting going. Fortunately TXT has had fantastic models in BTS to emulate in how to feel about their fans. And fortunately their creativity has been exceptional. While Blinks are numerous, dedicated and vociferous, I am not sure BP members deeply feel their fans made them. And given that for the longest they didn't have to create to perform, it kind of positions them differently vis a vis the public than those that were responsible for sizeable input into their works. Performance and appearance were adequate drivers of adulation. No hate, just my thoughts.

My thesis involved when you are a large corporation with the top player in the game about to go at best dormant due to military service, how do you maximize the fan good will you have built over years. For YG, you create a new group, have it flaunt bravado much like your previous entree Big Bang did, and in the process make it clear that this group should receive your love because they are both in the same family and the are the designated next. There is nothing wrong with this. It is good business strategy. But it also means BP comes into the game with advantages so they can operate as stars out the gate. Like what I am saying or not, it is a luxury and those groups given luxuries get instant exposure so are building from ground which was solidified prior to anything earned.

@@TripTipsPodcast for genuine n strong bond, i agree with ur opinion. But they really do persistent n passionate fandom. Coz it's rare to a group that still have strong fandom support after they have a very looongg hiatus. Most of group even popular one, can get decline a lot if they went long hiatus or rarely to have comeback. But BP is an anomaly for that case. Even BP rarely to have comeback n only have a very few song for 6-7 y/o group (they even have gone hiatus almost for 2 years and more busy with their modeling career). But once they make comeback, they always break their own record and always be a second from BTS compared woth other group who more constant have comeback n dedicated as singer. It thanks for their strong support from their fandom. And the most make me feel dumbfounded, that blink still passionately going to BP concert even there is have so many times BP have scandal for some of members lazy performance, but lot of blink are still shield them n satisfied with it (if other group doing lazy performance like them, their career will ended coz make their fans feel disappointed with their performance). I kinda in-between feel sorry for blink coz BP give back less for their passionate fandom has done for them, but.. most of blink is happy to get that kind of treatment, i dont have anything to say coz they are happy lol...

Only BTS could do that talking moment in their concerts as eloquent as they sound because of the freedom of expreasion afforded to them by their lable company. Unlike the other KPop Idols, their speeches are strictly restricted by their label company and, if any, they use such privilege only for entertainment and promotion purposes and, more often than not, their speeches are usually scripted. From 2014 to 2016, usually the elder BTS members (RM, Jin, Suga and Jhope) are assigned to do the talking as in this concert in 2015. When Jimin, V and JK grew up or have reachd the age of 20, they started to speak as eloquently as the elders. Unlike the other label companies which invested in the appearances and talents of their artists, BigHit invested in the wholistic growth of the boys by letting them finish college and proceeded with their MBAs, honed their limitless potential, amazing talent and intelligence and drive to strive harder, not to mention molding the goodness in them until they realize the power of their voice and the privilege of having the plaform to make a difference in the life of one or two people. But, little did they know that they'll be touching tons of lives.

When u said, they really dont complain. Yes, they really rarely complaint but maybe except for food lol.. but it's more like request, not a complaint tho. It remind me with my friend story, he was a promoter for BTS concert in my country. They said, BTS is the most easiest popular artist that they ever invited (in term to service them during their concert). Coz they dont have any specific request during their stay at hotel etc just like other popular artist sometimes they have some special request n treatment (just like Beyonce, she requested that her hotel room must covered with all black, from carpet, sofa, sheet, bed cover, curtain etc so the promoter must buy all black furnitures with their own budget for Beyonce hotel room). BTS didnt have any special request, except for one thing. FOOD!! 😂😂 the food is more like snack, cake n beverage. The manager just tell the promoter, just provide them with variant food n beverage at their hotel floor. Because my friend didnt sure how many food they will provide, so he just bring 3 big giant refrigerator to their floor, so they can pick whatever they like from there. And he said, BTS really looks happy kids when they see that 3 big refrigerator full of food on their hotel floor (they allow their staff to get food from that refrigerator too). They really easily to satisfied, just with food 😂😂😂

back then all tv stations and award show had prerecorded vocals. no artist was allowed to perform without it because of the fandoms. lets say one member makes a mistake some anti fan would then post it online and shame the group. it was and still is really competitive. but when BTS go on tour they always sing live with a band wait till you see wings tour, it was magical. and also love myself tour with the props and big audience. it´s like one big festival, when BTS have a concert. V even did a shout out to all the male army at their ptd concert. and they where all surprised by the roar coming from the male fans. they have seen alot of men, but they underestimated how many there where. and there was families with small kids. i saw a baby wearing headphones to block the notice while the baby slept in the harness the dad had on. and Jimin saw the baby and was waving at them. And a small boy around 5-6 years old was with her mother on the floor and he got to stand on the chair to see better. his bias was V and he got so excited to se him it was so cute. i have seen so many vlogs from army who was there. it´s so much fun and i still haven´t been to a concert i can´t affort to travel to the US and i was not army before the pandemic

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. A lot of the Hybe groups are putting out a lot of content like BTS. They know fans love it. And I think Stray Kidz, Shinee, and some other groups as well are doing the same. Also, u must remember that BTS are one of the early pioneers with social media because they were blocked within their own country from growing. BTS and staff really had to brainstorm how to connect with fans and reach more ppl so they could grow and not get disbanded like so many others. Another good chapter. RM always with the speeches. They all are sweethearts. By the way Jimin made NEVERMIND a permanent tat on his chest. He made it a permanent thing because the song spoke to him. For the 1st live it was fake tat but after it was real. We say JK pulled a Jimin sometimes because he faked having a eyebrow ring until he made it real. =0p Nevermind is great. It's Suga's solo. They did a special performance for it during this concert. I loved seeing the reactors reacting to Dope. Great song. BTS growing so much is a wonderful thing. Hugs. -NY USA 2019 Army💟
