That jellyfish, lurking in the water, oh-so-innocently, waiting to pounce on its prey, an unsuspecting human.....waiting to sting.....Okay, maybe I got a bit carried away, but can you blame me? That place looks like something out of a fairytale!!!

And then there were 60k!! That means your subs have pretty much trebled since I started watching your channel. Fantastic and well deserved! I can't get over the clarity of the water in this location which you have captured brilliantly from the drone, the ship, the lake shore and under water, making it a central theme in this vlog. Loved the shots of the jelly fish - I'm fascinated by them but best not to get stung by one. Oh, and the dive through the water ring was epic!!

Definitely best to observe the jelly’s from a distance haha! That’s got to be one of the largest we’ve ever seen. Thanks for the support along the way, Rex - road to 100k now!

While talking about my Croatian ancestry with a Croatian woman (from Rijeka) that I recently met virtually/digitally online, she told me about her slightly younger years as a stewardess on a pleasure cruise yacht throughout the Adriatic Sea off the Dalmatian coast - and as a personal recommendation, she said that the island of Mljet was her favorite island to visit and was perhaps (in her opinion) the best "bang for your buck" in terms of both natural beauty and tourist purposes. So, after watching some KZbin videos of the island, I particularly liked this one - and for one main overall encompassing reason: Not only did you guys accurately and nicely show the amazingly scenic views of the island itself, but you tastefully added in some key information about it as well. For example, I like how you focused in on your National Park map and tickets at 1:25 , showed more large map shots at 3:24 and 3:33, gave the ticket prices (in both Kuna & USD) at 3:47, and displayed the _'Ecosystems of the Small Lake'_ plaque at 6:18 (which allowed me to pause the video and actually read the entire plaque and learn about the Neptune Grass and European flat oysters native to these waters ... aka, things I wouldn't have thought to seek out info about otherwise). Then, my favorite part of the whole video was from 6:26 - 7:01 when you informatively explained some history of both Saint Mary's Monastery and the formation of the National Park. Overall, it was a nicely put-together video and I'll surely be watching the other videos from your *Sail Croatia* Explorer Cruise. Thanks again, guys! :)

Wow, James.... if only every comment was as well constructed, considerate and complimentary as yours! We really try our hardest to add both our personalities along with actual info on the places we visit, but the internet is a rough place at times and it just comes across as narcissism to lots of people. Anyway, thank you!

It so nice to see you enjoying Mljet, I remember exactly the 1st lake you saw where we went swimming last year. We actually stayed at a restaurant on the 2nd lake you took a boat on. Congrats on the 60K well deserved, it was not only a year ago you were on around 1-5 K so its a big achievement! Hope you have a good trip mate for the rest of your journey.

There are some cool and pretty spots around the croatian coastline and islands, but Mljet and NP within, is breath taking. Thanks for nice video. Will visit St.Mary's island tomorrow. I could seriously use your advice. I'm going here, with another dude (don't ask me why but I'm stuck him) Is it more a couples' thing and also how many days do you think is enough to stay there? 3 or 4 days?
@DanegerAndStacey5 жыл бұрын
Haha sounds tricky man. Are you talking about Mljet specifically? There's honestly not much there other than the lakes so anything more than 1 or 2 days seems like a looooong time. It's not just couples though at all, so no homo mode will be activated.

Non-functioning monastery? No monks residing there?
@none4tube6 жыл бұрын
Something like that I guess. Some years ago there was a priest with a bunch of domestic animals (a donkey, cats...) But the NP is even more spectacular than one could assume by watching this video. What seems particularly spectacular is the pine forest. Mljet is the greenest island in the Adriatic (the Mediterranean as it once was, indeed). The colour and the clearness of the water, the sunsets, the hills, the heat (one of the hottest spots in Croatia) numerous fish species, the intense sound of crickets, nighthawks at night and a rare colony of "European" mongooses. The place's been famous since antiquity and loaded with history.
@petrageljic15606 жыл бұрын
The monastery does not function, but they have a priest from dubrovnik that comes in every once in a while to serve a mass, or to do a wedding (I got married there). There are donkies in the monastery- but I think that the owner of the gift shop and restoraunt take care of them.
