She had just turned 16 in July. What most people didn't know was the next morning she moved lock, stock, and barrel to the U.S. She now lives in Boston where she is finishing her schooling. She is such a strong young lady. She has the purest singing voice since Karen Carpenter. Daneliya can sing anything and make it better. Daneliya turns 18 in July and graduates from High School in June. It will be interesting to see where she goes from here. Thanks so much for your interest and support. Your reactions have been pretty spot on. Daneliya has always wanted to be a Pop Star. While she never needs to, "put on a show" as her voice and a piano or guitar is all she needs. Daneliya is fully capable to do the dancing necessary to match any of the stars out there. I still wouldn't mind a ballad or a James Bond song every now and then.

She turned sixteen 11 days before this Concert. This was a Charity Concert "Voice Of Peace" to raise money for the people of Ukraine because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Daneliya was the opening act and then later came back on stage to perform with Monatik(he was her Coach on The Voice Kids Ukraine).

I love this performance. The song is fantastic, heartbreaking really. She takes it on so well. If I recall, unfortunately due to any number of factors, this is her most recent stage performance. Hopefully, some more opportunities will arise for that starting from the summer. We will see.

Welcome back to the place you thought was earth. Daneliya lives every song but, here, it really is personal. Liked your 'whammy bar type of control' comparison. Sometimes I lose myself in it and forget the melody. At about 7:00, she doubles it at the very end of the note. Incredible. Alanna's 'summary' of Daneliya's development was spot on. Some fans are rattled (I was one) when she shifts to another style but, as you both said, she still has the tools to perform what was previously loved. I wish Daneliya performed live more. The love she gets in real time always seems to genuinly catch her off guard, and I think it is the best kind of fuel for her. Thanks for reacting.

Regarding her last name, several pople (maybe a half dozen in the same thread) commented that in Kazakh (and I think Ukrainian as well), the second syllable is emphasized. In Russian, it is the third. You will hear both.

Thank you for reacting to this song, second time around. Sorry I got the years wrong, my math's not so good, lol. Yes the first cover of "Not Your War" was when she was 11 on VKU. Daneliya has truly a humanitarian heart, and has done many charity events, that's part of her emotional connection, part is because of the history between Kazakstan formerly being part of the Soviet Union, and when she participated and won the VKU she spent a good amount of time in Ukraine, gaining a special respect for the people of Ukraine. She actually learned to speak Ukranian to perform this song the first time. That was just after the Cremean invasion. Now fast forward to this performance, and the fresh (only several months after) the invasion of Ukraine. Daneliya was 16 here. Daneliya's coach and mentor Monatik is a pop singer in Ukraine, which she also performed live with in this concert. She was leaving for the US just after this concert, thus a very emotional time for her personally, and for her love for the Ukranian people. This was a concert, not a competition, but yes, I think she won the audience. There is so much power in Daneliya's live performances, there are many to view, along her first performances on AGT, and especially her return to AGT All-stars in 2023, her cover of Arcade during 2023 AGT All-stars is a must watch. Thank you for reacting to my favorite artist. Daneliya's in Boston now, with a couple months of her senior year left. Per her January live stream on KZbin, she plans on pursuing her musical career full time after graduation. She will also turn 18 in July.
