I think it’s definitely a good idea to wait until there are sales and discounts! I find that Sephora’s shipping is faster than Danessa’s brand’s shipping. But I’m guessing her site may have a more specific sale during the holidays. I’m looking forward to mixing and matching and layering all the shades! ❤️❤️

I so love the photos of me and my cousin. I’m waiting for the day I get a cease and desist asking that I stop saying we are related lmao Ooohh, I never thought to do an eye look inspired by my nails! I’m looking at my nails now like “I can’t do that…” but I may accept your challenge! I have no idea why I was turning everything into a weapon. I watched back and was like who was I mad at!? Throwing palettes and mirrors. Stabbing people with spatulas. The stacking part is what makes the palette, in my opinion. I love that it just makes everything so compact and portable. This was such a great demo. I’m trying to talk myself out of this one cause I have vol 5 and I feel the shades in there are prettier but I loveee this packaging innovation and I feel Danessa is really putting together a system (like Mac refills) cause these can fit in the groundwork palettes too! It’s so genius!

I agree about the packaging!!! I know the vol 5 was a fave for a lot of folks, but I didn’t end up getting it. They seem to not stick around long, though! I’m wondering if this one will, since she seems to be building this system, like you said. The two groundworks are still around, so fingers crossed for this one. This would be perfect for makeup artists because it’s so customizable! Maybe you could wait to see what the sales look like around the holidays? Especially if you like the shades in the 5 better. The packaging is definitely the big draw on this one! So I wouldn’t blame you for either decision lol ❤️❤️

Great review and cute eye looks! You have the best swatches using this palette that I've seen , I can see the shifts in the shades. I have all of Danessa Myricks eye shadow palettes except the Pride one. Love the packaging of this one and will get it hopefully on sale. Some of the colors don't seem as pigmented and sparkly like the other LIghtwork palettes, little closer to main stream eye shadows.

I think the Pride one was a disappointing one for most folks! I saw it at The Makeup Show and wasn’t drawn to it at all. You totally made me think, and you’re right about the pigment! I keep thinking this set up is going to be so good for makeup artists, which makes me wonder if the shades were made more useable for a wider range of folks? My reaction for the previous lightworks was like “WHOA!!!!” but for this one, I’m like “ooohhh pretty!” Lmao not that we can base ANYTHING on that hat, but now I’m curious! ❤️❤️

I wouldn’t even compare viseart to other indie brands! They are just on a different level. I would say that Viseart is more of a professional makeup artist brand. They probably are in the top, for me, in terms of ease of use and overall look.
