@@josephroszell He can't, main continuity Logan's mind rejects anything placed in it. HE doesn't have access to his own memories...but neither does anyone else. His mind actively attacks anyone trying to delve into his memories. Any false memories placed in there also gets shredded. What gets me is that Old Man Logan's excuse couldn't work for one major reason...his own bestial instincts would rebel against it. He would never attack the X-Men in their own home and such, the smells and feel, the vibrations in the house, his instincts would feel it and recognize it. It was literally what prevented him from doing it in previous stories. Also, people's voices have a vibrational tone to them Wolverine can feel. No matter what is done...be it memory loss or illusion, he remembers Jubilee's vocal vibrations intimately because he considers her like a daughter to him.

Long story short OML got sent into the past by means of Dooms Battleworld event (same thing that brough Miles to 616) He acted as a bit of a pseudo father figure for 616 Logan until 616 "died" for awhile, being encased in adamantium. From there he joined a couple teams, eventually got sick and slipped in and out of the berserker state causing him to be hunted by shield, formed an astranged grandpa role to X23 and her little sister Gabby until that relationship got strained. He had a shit load more adventures, before eventually being returned to his time, where he'd continue to raise a young hulk child until his eventual death. OML had......one stupidly long story, he lived far longer than just his debut comic series lol.

I think, with this, it's different. Logan already thinks himself a monster, and once he finds out that at one point, he is the reason why the only family that ever accepted him is lost... I don't think he'd be able to handle that baggage. Plus, as was said, it's no longer necessary for him to know. Old man Logan gave him something more, a push to keep going on fighting for those he cares about.
