17:46 Was lethal if you started with Bolner Skarr: it is 9+10 damage (might be 9+9, but it is irrelevant here), then Grumble returns both of them, you use the coin to play Bolner with Fire Plume for another 10, then a 0-mana Skarr for 10+10 damage = 49 damage overall.

Skarr does actually count the same turn you play it on. So if you'd played kindle before Skarr it would've done 6 instead of 5. Didnt really matter in this vid, but it's nice to know if you're ever 1dmg short (proof of this is it doing 5 dmg on the turn you played it on, and 7 dmg on the turn after when grumbled)

5:50.... surprised he did not trade there (8/2 for your 7/7). Given your hand size, you could easily have lethal. I think he threw the game by not doing it, but maybe he felt he was on a clock

Ye, with only one card in his hand, compared to opponent's, makes sense. But that last game made no sense to not trade. They dropped Tamsin, just stay alive till next turn and win. Yet they thought Shaman Elemental doesn't have means to silence or bounce back Skarr? That 10 damage to the face did nothing for his win, Tamsin is already 7, and with full hand finding heal or lethal is non-issue.

They probably thought they were dead to burn anyway, since Dane went face with Kalimos. He could've been sitting on double Gyreworm or a Blazecaller for all they knew. They obviously hadnt considered bounce as a burn source. Higher chance to win by calling a bluff I think. EDIT: Just realized that was the Rogue game and not the Warlock one. Nevermind. If I had to guess, "Me play Rogue. Me point big stick face."

As a long term watcher that does not play, are ladder rewards the same between wild and standard? I opened some of these cards recently and was thinking about trying HS out again.

Yes they share the same monthly reward track. Which ever is highest is what you get at reset. However bonus stars for rerank are separate.
