I just realised why that scene with the Nigerian coach talking to Naomi was there. She had just lost a round but her coach was there supporting her and boosting her morale. This completely contrasts the Indian coach chastising Geeta even though she had literally just won the last round.

In real life The coach was not a bad person... It's disheartening that they call it a true story and then change the narrative by their own selfish agenda... Just to give the movie a dramatic look they had to make the coach a villain... Same old bollywood

@@rohitdas8827 sure but that has nothing to do with my comment, I'm just talking about the cinematic technique of comparison within the narrative of the movie itself. Also dramatising true stories for their film adaptations isn't unique to Bollywood, it happens all the time in Hollywood as well The Social Network being a prime example of a great movie that had a lot of dramatisation making changes from the true story. The Greatest Showman showed P. T. Barnum as an amazing person who helped the disadvantaged, but in reality he was one of the most toxic abusers of the staff at his circus, as well as being openly racist. The same movie portrayed Jenny Lind as an evil temptress seducing Barnum into cheating on his wife when in reality Lind was completely innocent, a great talent who donated significant amounts of her earnings to charity, who did not once engage with Barnum romantically. Barnum did cheat on his wife, with another woman of his own accord.

Especially in India, where majority of people don't watch sports other than Cricket so they wouldn't know the truth and all they will know about the coach as a Prick because they all watch movies... Just wanted to tell you that there is a very big Indian Festival on October 15 known as Dussehra it's better that you guys watch Ramayan (animated) movie before that to understand more about this festival.
