God, I feel so freaking bad for him. He is definitely my favorite Warrior of Hope. It doesnt justify his actions, but seriously. Being forced to work constantly and fed drugs through IV tubes so you cant rest? Its sick. Not to mention he was treated basically as an experiment/game character by his "guardians" and being forced to kiss someone against your will as an act of manipulation. All the kids went through a lot and it's pretty sad. This doesn't make mass murder okay for them though-

He's specifically written in a way where you're supposed to feel sympathy for him, especially so if you've felt pressured to succeed and be the best, no matter what the cost is (it's usually your own mental, emotional, and physical health). He's also only around ten years old--watching a Literal Child become so warped and hateful due to the life and trauma he's had to deal with is pitiful. I don't think he's in the right; obviously, he isn't. But the conclusions he's come to are ones you can logically see him come to, even if they're vastly incorrect. Most people are hard-wired to be sympathetic, protective, and concerned when kids (even fictional ones) are in this kind of distress. His voice actress also KILLED IT, like I said before; she brought his unadulterated anguish to light. He's screaming and crying and far past his limit to the point where he's completely snapped, and therefore, I say "poor kid".

@Stevean2 You don't see being forced to stay up for days on end through being fed drugs through an IV, and doing nothing but studying and being treated as subhuman (i.e. as a video game character whose only purpose is "leveling up") is anything to feel bad about? You don't see having someone forcefully kiss you and then shove their tongue into your mouth as a way of purposefully manipulating you and breaking your spirit is something to feel bad about?

@Stevean2 I never said it justified his actions--all I said was I felt bad for him and that I pitied the way things went down for him because he was in a lot of pain during this scene, and I gave props to his voice actress for doing a great job in portraying it. Why did you insult me? Did it strengthen your point? Did it make you feel better? I'm hoping it helped you somehow, if it was something you felt needed to be said.

It's not only in the anime that you see the smol kids surviving. If you go into the extra and buys the images with your coins, there's also one called sth with afterwards or sth, it shows nagisa, kotoko, jataro and daimon actually alive and together :')
