I have mixed feelings because people consider it toxic and it kind of is but if Souda just improved his behavior and saw her as more of a person they would at least be a good friendship. I think near the end of the anime series you can tell Souda and Sonia's relationship is at least a little better because she seems to be giving him another chance, and acknowledges him. Even though Sonia's a generally friendly person, I doubt she would try giving him another chance unless she noticed he got a little better as well; and as you can see in this video, when Sonia and Souda are alone, you can see that though Souda still has his obsession with her, he is capable of having a normal conversation with her and genuinely interested in helping her. Though his obsession still shows a bit in that scene, it's almost like they're talking like friends or something. So I'm not sure they could ever have a romantic relationship, and honestly I doubt it. But I like to think Souda began to treat her more like a person and they became friends along with gundham. Especially since all three of them are shown on the ship talking at the end of danganronpa 3.
