A 'Love Suite Event' doesn't have to be romantic or sexual in nature. It's suppose to represent the ideal relationship that the characters want. For most characters they wanted something romantic/sexual, which is typical for most high school students. But it doesn't have to be that way for everyone, not everyone's most desired relationship is a romantic/sexual one. For Gonta, what he wished most was to become a true 'gentleman' to impress his parents. So the ideal relationship he dreamed of was to have a reliable friend that could help him practice for that. It wasn't sexual in nature or out of sexual intent. For Kibo, he did want to experience a 'romantic' relationship, but it wasn't really out of romantic or sexual feelings either. It was more out of curiosity and his desire to be human 'just like everyone else'. For Rantaro, his 'past' shows that he feels deeply saddened abt losing his sisters. N that he feels guilty for not being able to protect them better. So it makes a lot of sense that the 'ideal relationship' he wanted was to be able to protect his younger sibling. Not everybody has a secret sexual agenda u know.

No, I mean seriously, I love this, and I love that it's *not* a kink thing. I mean, this scene is consistent with how Rantaro presents to be presumably ace/aro in game, rejecting suggestive situations and advances. I think Rantaro really just appreciates being the "big brother" and "protector/helper" archetype, so he's happy to just have close platonic relationships--that would be the explanation for presumably his most intimate event in the game, the love suite. He derives a deeper meaning from his family and friends, so romantic attraction is pretty ambiguous, and sexual attraction isn't necessary (to him.) I know the ace/aro idea is pretty disappointing to some people, but to someone who's demi myself, I appreciate how strongly I connect to Rantaro's character, and I think that sort of representation is seriously lacking or often misunderstood.

BurittaKittyNeko it's not that complicated. Since the Love key event brings out the deepest fantasies of a person, it ends up in sex for most of them (since lust and kinks are things most people secretly want but typically repress). But since these characters are complicated, their fantasies manifest in different ways. I'm assuming everyone here knows the plot of V3, but still I'll put a warning **SPOILERS*** **seriously there are spoilers - don't say I didn't warn you** Okay so while it wasn't necessarily stated that these fantasies had to end up in sex, and there are many kinds of fantasies a person can have, the Kumasutra materialised the, er, raunchier ones. Take Tsumugi as an example. Her deepest fantasy should have been exhilarating despair. That's something she wants 24/7, not being fucked by a fictional step brother. Yet that was what we saw in her fantasy. Kodaka didn't want to describe or directly imply sex in most of them, but he left the .... with a dark screen, which is _very_ suggestive. Kokichi undoubtedly left during his event, but he mentioned something along the lines of 'a more exciting game next time'. The reason it ended like that was because Shuuichi's fantasy wasn't an ideal lover - it was Shuuichi. He didn't really want sex until they were ready - he just wanted to be closer to the boy he'd known for barely a week. Coming to Shuuichi, the occurrence of events is random, implying that whoever Shuuichi wants to see with him in the love suite is who gets picked. This is proven when he sometimes finds himself trying to get the other person to stay, or when he didn't want Kokichi to leave. This all boils down to one thing common across all these events - they ALL had romantic feelings for their ideal a.k.a Shuuichi - who had chosen them because he subconsciously liked them enough to want to use a Love key on them. So I'm pretty sure that even if if Rantaro is asexual, he definitely isn't aromantic. And even if he didn't want to go all the way, Shuuichi definitely wanted to. Ultimately, Kodaka made these for fanservice. He doesn't want us to think too hard about whether it's in character; just sit back, read into the not so pure innuendos and assume mistakes were made that night lol
