Tomoya is probably the “shadow sibling” as one would put it. Basically what that means is the sibling that is basically overshadowed by the other sibling. It’s probably why he speaks so pridefully about himself all the time because it’s basically him trying to tell himself that he is great and everybody loves while in reality he knows that Shion is the better sibling than him (in my his mind at least) and is just trying to cope in his own ways.

Bro Tomoya is definitely not a therapist: 1. Nobody even recognizes him even though he should be hella famous 2. The vibes I get from him is that he will go total breakdown mode and become an antag 3. He seems to get people more offended and mad than help. Seems pretty real although his sister kinda derails the idea. Maybe she went along with it because she doesn't remember his either?

Tomoya and Shion def swapped talents. Tomoya lives w/ his dad who is a police officer. Police officers stop criminals, but somehow Shion is the criminologist? Also, Shion behaves more like a therapist (as someone who has one). She’s reassuring, kind, and makes friends easy. Meanwhile, Tomoya can’t be a therapist. He’s too self centered and kind of desperate for approval. Tomoya just can’t be a therapist. Also, why does HE remember that Shion is a criminologist and he is a therapist? Meanwhile Shion doesn’t? It just doesn’t make any sense and I cannot wait for the next ep!!

Honestly don’t know but I honestly think it’s all up to one person not both of them and that’s Tomoya I think he is the real criminologist but he doesn’t want people to know he is working with his dad on the case that the girl died years ago and since Shion lost her memory because of the ambush let’s say when they woke up he convinced her that she is the criminologist when she actually is the therapist and he is the criminologist so maybe he switched both of their certificates

Tomoya’s a pretty interesting character, so I decided to record his character relationships with other awardees at the end of every chapter (this is not the end of the main story’s prologue but he acts very interesting in here so) Akira- Arguably the closest, no major arguments. However: Akira is annoyed at his insensitivity and weakness, Tomoya questions in giving ppl false hope, before simply saying he agrees it’s necessary at times (possibly to make her feel more comfortable?), and he doesn’t seem to question Akira at all despite the weird looks Kyouran gives her and the whole Izanami thing. 50/50 chance this relationship could go down the drain when Akira’s talent is revealed. Shion- Framed as close, but Shion does not check in on him after told a stranger was rude to him, both don’t see each other often, and does not make sure he’s with her when heading to the lobby to executed Katsuhiko’s plan. Hints towards a not emotionally-serious relationship p, but still putting it near top as he says he’s happy she’s with him. Satoru- Friends/acquaintances, no major arguments. Satoru looks up to him, Tomoya likes complimenting him. Chiemi- Likely future friends, no major arguments. Made a promise to cook with each other. Tomoya doesn’t mind Chiemi’s carefree attitude abt School, and Chiemi is one of the few to compliment him. Chou- His biggest idol , possibly future friends, no major arguments. She promises him to one day teach him fighting skills. Accidentally offended her when calling her by stage name. He embarrasses himself in front of her multiple times, and thought of her stage self as her real self. Hideyoshi- Possibly future friends, no major arguments, but not close yet. Both made fun of Katsuhiko, and Hideyoshi told him and Akira could talk to them later, implying he would’ve want to stay in contact if they escaped. Kiyoshi- No major arguments. Tomoya helped him open up. Kiyoshi did not want to stay long with the two however, indicating they aren’t close yet. Rei- No major arguments, and Rei expects him to rely on her eventually. Got scolded by her for not knowing her or Itako practices. However, he does not believe she can revive Itako culture, which might be brought up later. Izanami- No major arguments. Calls her pretty. Does not pick up the distaste she has for Akira. Both are on the opposite ends considering their relationship with Akira. Shown to have their backs against each other, indicating a relationship of some kind, rivalry or friendship is unknown. However, in a music video, Tomoya tried checking in on her, alongside Yumeo. In the video, the name she saved for him was Tomo. Canon-wise, not close. Otome- She insulted him. Called him a twink. And a few snarky remarks considering his talent. He likes her manga, but does not agree when she says that ppl are dumb to not like it. Not close, but neutral. Bani- He tried cheering her up, possibly following Akira’s lead after calling her petite, but then ends up getting the middle finger from her. He apologizes, and changes the topic to smth Bani is more comfortable with after Bani and Akira talked abt creepy fans. Wanted to go to the arcade with Akira to support her when she releases an arcade game. Could be future friends, but the fight could lead to awkward tension and overthinking from Bani, leading her to stay away. Katsuhiko- Offended him when he talked behind his back saying that his high school is for rich stuck-up kids. Apologized, but it didn’t seem like he accepted the apology as Hideyoshi agreed with Tomoya. Teases him alongside Hideyoshi, and Katsuhiko told the two to stay away (could not be the truth since Hideyoshi says that Katsu always does that to ppl he likes, but idk so) Takeshi- Takeshi hates him to a more extreme degree then Akira does to Tomoya’s weakness and when he says he doesn’t like him for his intimidating attitude and rudeness. Kyouran- Liked him at first, but suddenly changes minds when it was revealed he was a con-artist. Does not believe he is good, nor is anyone with a criminal talent. If they hide it, he *might* think they’re a traitor, and if they don’t, they like to flaunt their notoriety. This aspect of their relationship could affect his and Akira’s. Yumeo- The pit-hell of relationships. Yumeo bumped into him without apologizing, Tomoya offended him when calling the dead disgusting, prodded too much into why Yumeo wouldn’t want a talent, which caused Yumeo to lash out on him by comparing him to his sister and indulging him. Escalated the situation by not stopping to prod, indicating a certain love for the idea of talent and not understanding why anyone wouldn’t want it.

My prediction for this ep is that we'll meet the rest of the cast and end on a cliffhanger, perhaps involving Kou's entrance? I'll update once I watch it. UPDATE: I WAS RIGHT!!!!!! God I love being right about things. Can't wait for the next ep! Anyway, some interesting things from this episode: Kyouran seems to be hiding his true motivation for his crimes, my best guess would be that he's doing it to help his family as well as other people in the world. Also, the Tomoya bullying got BAD today, Yumeo needs to chill honestly, I can't imagine being told that you're nothing compared to your sibling. At least Chiemi was the first character to not bully him! Finally, a win for the Rizzless Speaking of Chiemi, she's just so.... ahwhshshhshs. I think she'll probably die in the middle of the story, because her optimism may get old towards the end. Either way, I love her! Yumeo kind of annoys me? I think eventually I'll come to like him but I hate how badly he treats others. I predict he'll last till pretty late in the story because if how useful his talent could be. Please open up, man. Chou on the other hand!!! I think she'll definitely have an interesting arc. I can honestly see her as an early game killer, since in her wiki she apparently has a bad temper. AND KOU'S VOICE AT THE END!!!! I'm so excited to finally meet him. I hope he gets ALL the headpats. If Kou has 100 fans I am one of them, if Kou has 10 fans I am one, if Kou has 1 fan then that is me, if Kou has no fans I am dead. If the world is against Kou then I am against the world. He definitely has something to do with Hanako.

It was awesome, I'm curious about Yumeo and Shion cause like, maybe Yumeo already knew Shion cause of their ultimates, but because it has to do with their ultimates Shion doesn't remember meeting him and thats why he's friendlier with her? idk I wanna know what they have, anyway yeah I was so excited when Chiemi showed up I love her sm!!

I still feel like Yumeo shouldn’t have acted that way towards Tomoya they both have different personalities and negative and positive parts about them and it’s not cool to point them out especially compare to their sibling Tomoya might feel like Shion is better then him which can low his self esteem Yumeo has too chill his looks might be hot but his personality bad as hell but Tomoya shouldn’t have criticized his title since it can be something sensitive for some ultimates though he should have been more considerate I admit not everyone thinks the way he does they were both in the wrong

Maybe Tomoya knows what a Forensic Pathologist is because of his sister, but it also could be because he worked with those people before, maybe since he's grossed out by dead bodies he often needed to get help to understand the circumstances of death, thus often seeing and meeting forensic pathologists And, this dude does NOT fit the title of Ultimate Therapist... Spoiler alert don’t read if you haven’t watched this Kyouran I find very suspicious he is a con artist but acts so kind and it will be hard to tell if he is being truthful or not and he is being so observant and good at reading people’s emotion’s there is something weird about him especially at here I recommend Akira to stay on her guard people are starting to get suspicious of her and it’s the only the beginning like in here 4:28 And I love Chiemi she is definitely one of my favorites and sees everything in such a positive light and is open minded and she is bi slayy love her sweet personality one of my fav characters and at 10:32 was too funny when Kyouran surprised Tomoya and he got scared he is such a scaredy cat I felt bad for Chiemi here 13:46 she wanted to keep talking but they had to leave she is so kind hearted and bruh how dare Yumeo be so rude to Akira and Tomoya especially Tomoya, Tomoya might be annoying sometimes but that is just his personality you can’t control that how dare you compare Shion and Tomoya Yumeo he got my blood boiling it’s good to talk to a character who has a different personality but still I guess he likes people who are easy to talk too Tomoya calling dead people disgusting really offended him Tomoya did apologize though this scene 21:54 melted my heart I ship them it’s so sweet to see when someone teases someone else it means that you really like them any ship names? I really like Chou it’s nice to see a celebrity that wants to just act like a normal girl and not be still her image on real life and the way Tomoya was fangirling is so funny hahah Chou forgot to give him his autograph hopefully they will meet again and she will remember it’s so nice to see that in the most of the conversations there is a balance between introductions and talking about them being stuck there that is a cool touch wonder what will happen in the next episode!
