I am surprised at how well your auto keystone/auto focus works. I also have a mars pro, and i have had the opposite experience. I pretty much always have to use manual adjustment, so I wonder why ours may be different.

Listen up bro. The Chinese suck at marketing and owners manual BIG TIME. Okay. They assume u know the following. Projectors are supposed to be plopped down dead center in front of a screen. If you're pretty close but not perfect poof! The Auto will make it perfect. Then you got ppl who insist on trying to put it against a side wall. Manual must be used then. 95% of issues are userat fault with these things. Tip ...all products are like this from China. Don't expect a good user manual and learn about sht beforehand

Very good review but I don’t understand why you reviewed this Old machine (paid by Dangbei ?) with bad after sales. Both X3 and X3 pro mars I bought stopped working after 1 year and 5 months : suddenly no more laser Iight… support was inexistant or painful! BEfore buying be sure to check the warranties at your seller ,! DANGBEI IS WELL KNOWN IN CHINA FOR BAD QUALITY CONTROLS AND BAD SUPPORTS. As usual with China made products be sure to have a solid warranty, to avoid sending them at your charge back to China for services…

​@@xianzhang5089DON'T LET IT EFFECT YOU!! Remember even if you saw three comments about Dangbei in a row on here....that in and of itself doesn't mean anything!! Every brand has issues. There are a bunch of people with stories out there about the $6000 Sony PJ.

@@xianzhang5089 never believe people with bad experiences. First of all, do you know this person? Both of their projectors stopped working at 1 year , 5 months? And individual experiences don't mean anything. The Dangbei Mars Pro 4K that they're calling old is THE BEST 4k laser projector for the money. $1200? It's very bright, you can project a 120" image in your living room with light coming in and it looks good. I feel bad for this person but I'm buying a Mars Pro 4k soon. I can't wait. You can't beat it for the price. Dangbei

great projector with one issue. in the last year i have had 2 of these end up with dead/stuck pixels in under 12 months use. replaced one 5 months ago, and now the new one has a dead/stuck pixel already.

Definitely pleasing that the smaller players seem to be releasing better quality projectors now on a more regular basis than the major companies. This one is a very bright with the low fan noise and superb picture....hope they do regular software updates though

We have to be realistic consumers, you know? I plan on buying the Mars Pro 4K soon because it's bright and so good while being the cheapest. Well, am I expecting them to keep supporting it with regular updates ? No

That 'dust cleaning' option you mention -could be like the 'trick/hidden? feature my early (fat) PlayStation 3 had - where with a code or set of key presses (I think) you could get the cooling fan to blow in reverse - ejecting any built-up dust :-)

I'm using this projector with a Elite Manual Pull Down White 135 inches 1.1 gain projector screen and look fantastic , love the picture quality of the Mars Pro 4k , the only downside I cant enable HDR in my gaming PC , my gaming PC is connected in the HDMI input of my AVR 4K Dolby Vision HDR Receiver , the projector is connected is the HDMI out of my receiver

It could be that your HDMI lead, check settings on the PC to enable hdr

I have decided to get one of these, it's be as much as £250 lower in the Uk recently and I amd going to wait until Black Friday and see if I can snag a deal. I'll use your link and a thank you for the info. I'd love a follow up video on soundbar options for this (and other) projectors.

Did you get Dolby atmos passthrough to work on yours. I have owned one for a while but my Sonos soundbar want to play ball. Nice review. It is a good budget laser projector

i'd love to see a review of the hisense c1 as well, also what about keystone and auto zoom features on these small projectors? while i read everywhere that they degrade the picture quality i find hard to notice a huge difference when on. Id Love a comparison between zoomed keystoned pictures and with eveything off..

Dust cleaning mode blows the fans backwards to eject dust that may accumulate, especially around the inside of the lens

Looking at your room, I think 120" screen would give you a noticeable difference, any bigger and you'll need to move your head about lol. I had a 100" now a 106" and even that did make a difference to immersion!

Hello. I watched both reviews on the Dangbei Mars Pro and the Xgimi Horizon Pro and Horizon Ultra. I really was down to one of the Pro models until I ran across the Horizon Ultra. Can you tell me which one you like the best please? I think you did like the Ultra, which is what I'm looking at myself. I just wonder about that sliding door after turning it on and off several times a day and having it malfunction. Is there a way to lock it open? Thank you.

Great vid I don’t think you need a bigger screen when your sitting that close I have a 92 “ screen and am sitting about 2.5 meters away which is what the thx website specified so I think your 100” screen will do the trick 😉
