Spot on about the water round here, everything goes crusty within milliseconds. Shower heads are a consumable, and you need a lifetime subscription to Domestos Zero just to flush the bog.

Well done Nick. Might be worth using a one coat plaster, or powder mix filler for this type of work. You can mix your own consistency then and do a deeper fill on the first go.

That nicked cable was in one of those nonsense "safe zones" where two walls meet in the corner. I mean, really, who knows about corner safe zones except electricians, and we dont expect cables to be in corners.
@TheChipmunk20082 ай бұрын
heh, colleague destroyed 7 cables due to corner drilling. that was a fun 7pm finish, but can't fault the installation sparky. The regs need changed, that is precisely WHERE people will drill. And more info for other trades, it shouldn't be a trade secret
@Woodkin0072 ай бұрын
@@TheChipmunk2008 completely agree. I've used the vertical corner once as no other choice apart from apocalyptic house destruction. Also think the horizontal run at top of walls where it meets the ceiling is also shortsighted.
@Jamie-x4cАй бұрын
Those zones have been around as long as I’ve been sparking, so nothing new. If you’re a punter who doesn’t know about zoning get a detector before doing any drilling. Those zones can get us out the shit on rewires

If the shower is going hot cold hot called. Check to see if they have it on full whack. As I've been told by various manufacturers not to have it on full whack as it can't keep up and that setting is more for cleaning the shower than washing yourself. Try running it on a lower setting. It will still be hot enough and it may fix the issue
