Glad no one was hurt! Make sure Ray gets the lifts inspected regularly to hopefully prevent this in future. That should be able to catch problems like this before they happen.

It hasn't been that long since that lift was installed. It's a used unit and the crew that installed/reassemble it must have not seen any defects.

Any lift is a used lift once it’s been in service. Sometimes we have to do things in a certain way to accomplish our goals. That may involve buying used. And he did say that he’s replacing it with a new one. I think he’s in a better position to do that than when he was starting out.

Thank you for the followup on the first video from Ray. I can say from experience that at times some get complacent about the weight a hoist suspends in the air. It's so good to know that everyone always has safety on their minds and can react properly when something goes wrong. I have personally seen vehicles come off a hoist, not a fun sight - needless to say what the customer is going to think about it. So glad everyone is okay. Thanks again, Lauren. And also for the followup on the office updates too. Looking good in there!

I had my leg crushed at work and ultimately had to have it removed below the knee, So yes I am so very happy no one was hurt! I think I'd have moved the Lotus out of an abundance of caution, but that's just me. Lauren is spreading her wings just nicely, and is clearly fulfilling the traditional role of a trusted life partner. Decent flooring makes SO much difference to a room. I mean, I can only get the visual effect, not the smell thing, but it looks so much nicer. Important if you are spending a load of time in there! Plus having a sanitary place to go do what everyone has to do sometime!

I don't know if your shop has one yet, but an emergency eye wash station is a must around chemicals. Especially since the shower has been removed. Thanks for the update. I am glad to see nobody was injured.

I watched a vw bus fall off an old style hydraulic lift: in front of my parts window. No one was hurt: but the mechanic was so embarrassed since he caused it by jacking up a shock while the bus was on the lift. It lost balance and just slide off onto the concrete floor on its side. Took our body shop almost a month to cut off the roof, get the new part, and then weld in the new one. The bus was brand new. Oofta. Ray did good here: not a scratch on the jeep.

Have similar lifts that have done this. You cant leave the cables ynder load. But have noticed Ray is good to keep setting them on the stops. The way the cable is crimped is the issue. It will eventually will work out. For a quick safety indicator its pulling out,a spot of spray paint will show if the joint is pulling out and a five minute check each month

@@leosmith848 Yip,saw it after this. Would say the pulley has seized or it has been overloaded at some point,or simply worn out. The arms can be a tell if its been overloaded as they wont sit level,and where the pins go through look a little squished. Wevev been getting Silverados out of Oz to New 🇳🇿 Zealand. Shipping note says 3.6 tonnes! And our hoists get full survey every six months. When it hsppens youre glad your psnts are black to hide the stains

Just something to think about. What if you put in a wall dividing the toilet from the sink with a door in the wall. That way, if someone is on the T then the sink is free to use by another. The wall could be made half thick to save space. The door could be louvered as well to keep fresh air flowing. Are yeah gonna put in a "poop gas" fan too??? You could also cut into the wall about 38" up next to the toilet to put in a recessed shelf for extra TP and toilet cleaners. Oh, and a TV on the opposite wall of the toilet. Recessed of course. BYE!!!

That yellow car has always been one of my favourites. When I was in grade three my Teacher “Ms. M” had a yellow one powered by ford. That was in 1968. I will never forget grade three. I had the best looking teacher, who drove the hottest car and yours truly made sure to bring a shiny apple and endeavoured to be teachers pet and Won academic achievement of the year. Shameful suck , and didn’t care. I knew what I wanted in life from that time forward.
