Not just that. The machine is squeezing the artists for every drop because they're losing money and influence and market share like a boat taking in water. Spotify pays literally nothing to artists, and ya think apple music and amazon care about fair and equal partnerships over tea and biscuits? The profits just aren't there. Combine that with nobody listening to the radio which means losing hundreds of millions of customers no longer buying music because the radio played it 4x/hr and told them who they're supposed to like. And MTV doesn't even play videos. The "biggest artists" on itunes their labels are very often PAYING for streams which gives them...slightly less declining credibility? Back in the day I bought And Then There Was X, Xzibit Restless, Timbaland 3rd CD but without Magoo, Shady LP, Do or Die Victory, Twista Adrenaline Rush, Project Pat Mista Don't Play, The Last Meal, Staind Break The Cycle, The Dynasty, Extinction Level Event, Nastradamus, Limp Chocolate Starfish, Papa Roach Infest, Most Known Unkown all on CD all within a year, 16 mos. And I guarantee there was at least 5 more. No way in hell that kinda money will EVER be recouped. Look at all these rap concerts now booking 10k arenas and selling 1200 tickets because lack of interest but also who TF bout to pay $200 to see Yung Thug mumble shit in a dress? Bro in that same year of buying CDs I saw Em, Dre, Cube, Snoop at Up In Smoke for $40; Em, Limp, Xzibit Papa Roach for $50; Ludacris and Ja Rule for $20; Bone for $35. Bruh I'm in DFW and Alan Jackson is doing his last tour here in Feb. Tix START at $400. But I just paid $40 at the same arena 5 miles away to see Tucker and Roseanne. It was cool. But nobody's trying to pay these bullshit prices which just adds to fan apathy. The streaming deals HAVE to be reworked or labels will literally disappear. They're a joke and people are starting to get a glimpse of the man behind the curtain. Oh and P.S. Forever F**K Metallica and that beyotch cuck Lars Ullrich for bootlicking the labels and lobbying Congress to ignore IP sharing laws screwing US, lining their daddy pockets and illegally shutting down Napster. Which is still legal btw, you are allowed to share IPs you own with ANYBODY YOU WANT as long as you don't profit. I can loan a Blu-ray to every single resident of Fort Worth and it's fair F*ing use. You don't like the laws? Use judicial process to get them changed. But sticking Metallica on TV and using Lars Ulrich's 'boiled egg test professional' c***y ass whine like a bitch and pay off judges? F* you!

Bro, labels are a trap. Very few make it to the top, and they are owned. Industry songwriters provide the songs for them. The labels find a poor soul and market them. Then, they pick another and bench him/her. Why do you think so many self-delete? Nova was signed to Island/Def Jam, and they left her with nothing in the hood, with no money. Tom and other independents are paving the way for younger artists, and the labels are not doing well. Famous artists in the rock genre are now broke. Look up 360 deals.
