Girl, I have Stevie Wonder half of my perfume collection with no regrets and it was the Rhubarb for me when I first sniffed and fell in love with Delina but don't get it twisted, I do love her sisters too, and her cousins. Sis you need to put House of Sillage on this list, bc while they spend a lot of time on beautiful packaging, the juice is subpar at best. I spent $500 from recommendations and they ALL were horrible. In fact, there was a whole discussion in one of the larger fragrance communities and HOS was getting dragged by the people!!! HOS needs to be sampled before committing especially if you don’t want to smell like an elder in church singing old spirituals 🤦🏽‍♀️

I just got Sinatra. It’s my first Memo Paris fragrance. I absolutely love it. The opening note isn’t overpowering to me at all. In the dry down all I smell is sweet sugary burnt marshmallowy goodness. It’s now one of my top 5 perfumes in my collection. I love it. I’ll be wearing it all year. It’s better than love don’t be shy.

I did a blind buy for Cavort and although it was not love at first sniff i love her. The majic happens in the dry down on my skin. What about pop is not a safe blind buy imo neither is guidance. The first person I watched here on KZbin talking about Charlotte Tilbury " Scent of a Dream" was Cheraye years ago. Then, I went to Nordstrom to try it and I fell in love with it, it went home with me ❤. I find Donna Born in Roma Intense way more sophisticated than the original. I never committed to a full bottle of the original because smells too generic to my liking. I agree that the Intense version is less sweeter and lasts forever on my skin probably those are the reasons I fell I love with it.

I completely agree with Ani! Wow that one is tricky and I even tested it. I was sure it would be a love so I ordered the full bottle and just yesterday I had it on and it was overwhelmingly spicy with that ginger note. I am a vanilla lover but this is not what I would even call a vanilla. I've had it for months and I am not sure what to do with it. Delina is another one! I LOVE Delina Exclusif but the regular version is one I struggle with too.

I just purchased Chinatown 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I'm at a place now, growing my collection. I do not do blind buys at all. Too many sites and sellers that will sell decants or samples. Therefore, no blind buys for me unless I absolutely can't find a sample at all. I had Nishane Ani in my cart and removed it. I have a decant but it doesn't last long. I also love Memo Sintra

Fragrances that have been decanted have possibly had air get in it. So that process can weaken the performance of a fragrance. You wouldn't get the full performance from a decant that you haven't done yourself not knowing the process of how it was decanted from a 3rd party. You won't experience the full performance of a fragrance unless it's from the original bottle

@Ai_TheGreat Thank you for that information. I only buy decants from specific sellers. 90% of my collection stemmed from buying decants first, then full bottles. I have received samples directly from the company. I'm resourceful, so I do contact a lot of companies directly. Unfortunately, I only have Saks, Macy's, and Dillard's near me to actually go in and smell certain fragrances. Nordstrom closed😫 So decants work for me, for now. I've been burned by some Blind buys, and it has become wasteful for me.

I love videos like this! I love blind buying, even if it doesn't work out. It's such a thrill haha. And I see one of my new faves, Valentino Donna Born in Roma Intense, whewww haha. But I agree, they changed the DNA and the Intense is creamier and vanilla to me. I agree with these choices though! These scents aren't so "safe"! And for the average fragrance consumer, they may be turned off!!! I think the frag heads in some of us are so quick to think everything is a blind buy lol.

Peregrina from Thameen is absolutely my favorite perfume in my collection. I need a super size bottle of it. I need a body cream, shower gel and hair perfume on this fragrance. I have both Blue heart and I think blue heart is more masculine than Peregrina. I get massive compliments with Peregrina. I am almost done with my first bottle. I will definitely repurchase it. It is one of my for life fragrance. ❤❤❤ along with Blanche Bete ❤

I love videos like this. There are a lot of famous fragrances that are not blind buy safe. IMO, a few of the Bond No. 9 fragrances are not blind buy safe. When it comes to Delina, I like Delina La Rosee a lot better than the original.

@@yemedemure414 if I’m being honest, I don’t think any of them are a safe blind buy. They have a unique smell. I’ve purchased the most popular ones that people always talk about, including the one she’s talking about and I didn’t like any of them much at all. Luckily I was able to resell them. I always try to get samples now because perfumes are expensive.

I have to say I've blind bought three fragrances based on your recommendations and I *Love* them! However, you're absolutely right, sometimes you really must smell some fragrances first. I thought Lancome Idole would be safe but I find it nauseating. Thankfully, I was able to try that first and I didn't buy it.

Hacivat is not safe in my opinion! I bought it as well as HSW, Vaine and Naive at the same time last fall and was not a fan! The more i let it sit, I like it now.. still haven’t worn it but it’s cool now lol

I did my share of blind buys, but only when I don’t have a way of sampling them. Most of them are successful because I listen to you and my other fave KZbin fragrance enthusiasts. My most successful blind buy was MC Hibiscus Mahajad and it’s in my top 5 faves.
