We grew up in Muskegon on Manz St. Just one block east of Wood St. In the 50's. We went to Moon School , played outside, our Dad's carried lunch boxes and walked to work in the foundries. Our Mom's stayed home and took care of the kids and house. My heart breaks to see this. Thank you for sharing. I will forward to my sisters and friends

I just happened to come across this video and plan on sharing. I live in Allegan county and have a "sky observation" channel and was watching just because of it being Muskegon. But then you started pointing out the sky and really got my attention. Very cool!👍 I have viewers from around the world, although not a lot, and this will help in showing Michigan, and the Michigan skies, to my viewers. Should help pump up your channels analytics a little bit too!😉😁 Great video!👍😊

That send me back to the '80s with the basketball court at Angels School used to be the place to ball, I lived on William Street and that time people got together and the city came together to play some ball I'm considering restoring Angel basketball court where the community can come together and have a great time

We grew up on 4th and Monroe back in the 80s was a good time back in those days. That’s where I learned how to ride my bike and skateboard up to Goves to buy candy. I went to Craig school and then to Nelson and Bunker jr high. We played baseball at cambell field. Went to Muskegon high school for a little while then moved to Tx. I go back from time to time and still love me some scribbs pizza and I miss Mr. Quicks too.

No it’s not bad but there are bad areas that u do not want to get caught slipping in tho.

Not anymore. Cops have stop pulling over people for stupid traffic violation and focusing on the shootings. The properties have been being bought up from huge companies and the city's got a lot of grants. The also got a sonar to pin point were shootings occurred. The property value has trippled too and they've added so much art. Growing up here is far different than how it is how. These areas have cops staked out now too.

No, it's just a country town. It has it's violence like anywhere else. But for the most part, it's alright.

That’s how we say shit in Muskegon when you ask someone “where you at?”people say a land mark or business, the reason is there are to many pointless roads pile all over muskegon as long as you know Getty,Apple,Laketon(main roads)you’ll never get lost

Having relocated to Valdosta, GA about three years ago I really miss the Beaches, Pizza (shout out to the Grand Finale and Scrib's Deluxe cooked well-done of course), events at Heritage Landing; Music Festivals, Beer Tents (Beer Tent Capitol of the World). I've heard talk of a Pot/Music Festival of some sort. Muskegon also has a great Art Museum, the Hackley Library has/had? a glass floor on the second level. Oh, Pot is legal, so if you smoke a little Ganga, you can walk around with up to two ounces or just grow it. Are there bad/dangerous areas, well of course most every city has them. However, it's a small portion of the populous that commit the crimes; Muskegon as a whole should not be judged/ defined by them. Muskegon Rocks F**k Grand Haven!!!
@2525MLD3 жыл бұрын
Yes Muskegon does rock. I can’t complain. Aw man u should come visit this summer and see all the changes that’s been made to Muskegon. A few more activities downtown Muskegon will impress u. That’s all I’m going to say because it’s a surprise to your eyes.
