That’s not the case for Wap 7. Wap 7 is kind of a cruising type loco, used for Long distance travel. Wap7 isn’t used to compete with EMU based trains. Second of all, if any WAP-7 has the priority to go fast, it’s acceleration would be crazy. But Future is all based on EMU + aerodynamic design

As every wheel is connected to the electric motor in Vandey Bhaarat, friction also helps the train acceleration, while friction is opposite in other trains

Wap 7 can push-up to 110kmph in 110 seconds with leading 20+ coaches single handedly that's because the powerfull traction motors,but this semi high speed T- 18 is based unit models like Emu,which have small traction motors below every 3 coaches or 1 unit (3 coaches combined as we can see multi pantographs ) in single rake with direct power supply to particular unit,any how T -18 is based on more enhanced Emu models with more powerfull traction motors capability to travel long distances,Any how a locomotive is locomotive the pulling machines 🔥🔥🔥,Wap 7 wdp4d there are known for there Epic acceleration,I hope u get clear after my comment ☺️ ,Thank u

WAP7, WAP5 locomotives have crazy acceleration hauling 20+ coaches but the fact is if it's the race between EMU and WAP7 hauling 20+ coaches and both of them accelerates simultaneously but firstly, EMU will go ahead a little bit far..That's the point but here within a gap of seconds, VANDE BHARAT accelerates like a pro and gain momentum simultaneously and left the EMU behind what we saw in this video uploaded by the owner

Nice capture boss. Vande Bharat seems to be the pride of Indian Railways. Sure the EMU has its own tasks to fulfill the travel needs of the common man and should be applauded When compared with the passenger footfall for Vande Bharat the EMU will be colossal huge and no match Indian Railways justifying passenger needs Only worry is that in recent years it is leaning on the commercial side swindling passengers in tatkal, premium tatkal, dynamic fares, cancellation charges etc

Believe it or not, the 15 car Medha EMU can draw a peak power 2 MW per power car, for a total of 10 MW, or almost as much as Train 18s 10.6 MW. Despite the initial pull, it cannot however accelerate forever like VB. And the suspension of VB is on another planet compared to any other train in India. But your Mumbai Local is also seriously underrated, it's way more powerful than it seems.

this isnt Mumbai Local, it is Kolkata EMU though i am curious as how two trains ran in same direction on adjacent tracks Aren't tracks supposed to be one up one down format? there seems to be 4 tracks so wondering about how same direction on adjacent tracks. in Mumbai, on central railways, all tracks are one up + one down format, so it will be u-d-u-d for a 4 track layout on western railways, it is the same format most of the time, apart from a single 7th bidirectional track from Khar to Borivali. but they are exclusively for outstation trains leaving from Bandra Terminus.
