Shotgun accuracy depends on barrel bore and ammo type. Load a shotgun with bird shot and it's like in tje video games. Buck shot is a little more accurate but way more power Slugs are accurate at range and do a fuck ton of damage. A shotgun loaded with 5 lb slugs is basicly a mid range anti tank rifle but with SLIGHTLY less power.

Shotguns are fairly accurate, even with buck shot. Games just make them wildly inaccurate beyond 10 yards.

Actually, shotguns are deadly at range. Buckshot with a smooth bore, 50+ Meter kills are no biggie. As for the recoil on the Smgs...yeah, that's about right.

Well, I haven't seen any aliens or armed wild life. But raccoons are sketchy, alligators are everywhere, beavers dont need a chainsaw cause it slows them down, and the in game mosquitoes seem a bit small. The shotgun is very accurate on how to deal with them.
