It was designed with Mastering in mind, but it also really awesome for tracking and mixing. For example, I like to use it while tracking piano to get a nice shine without making it harsh, and a nice fat low end. It can really be used for anything.

How can a mixing equipment brand release a video that is so horribly mixed like this one? Guys come on!

@theRealIonian We generally don't post samples of our gear because it's hard for people to understand what something really sounds like without hearing music they are familiar with. We also would not lower ourselves to the level of streaming a before and after clip with the EQ jacked up to a gratuitous level. The problem is that if we post examples that are non-gratuitous (ie how it's supposed to be used), people listen to mp3's on shitty speakers and then complain they can't hear the difference

It would be nice if there were some audio samples in the video of it working. I've been sitting on buying this for 4 months because I can't find a single vid or audio example of it working. All I find is videos of people explaining it or telling me it's great. Same thing with posts. The more people tell me something but show me no evidence, the fishier things look. I want to believe it's great but the longer there's no audio samples, the worse the taste in my mouth gets with the bax. :(

My God! Why the music/effects are so loud and voice level so low? Talking about an EQ...but you need a compressor :(

@theRealIonian and anyway, we prefer to let our gear speak for itself and not try to sell it with some marketing hype. The best thing I can tell you is find someone who has one and listen to it on music you know. If you are in/around NY I can arrange a demo for you. I can also give you a list of mixing/mastering engineers who use it and you can listen to their work.

Just the look of the faceplate/knobs, and the newer (black knobs) version has a switching power supply. Sonically they are identical.
