That's quite a collection! I looks like they took incremental steps on design changes until finally throwing out a particular look, and restarting, then making incremental changes to that new design. I'm actually testing a Nikon pocket zoom now. (Truth be told the roll has been in it for a month now haha).

filmismorefun , the main problem I have is I know what stuffs worth. So if a spot something for a low price.... and I don't even need it. I still buy it as it's a bargain. Example: I spotted a nikon F2 recently for a silly price and it's mint.like new ...had to get it....now I own three of them!! Daft

This was a really great video! I recently own the Nikon Zoom 700VR and I’m super glad I got it now. Didn’t knew it had a history as well. But I’m still figuring out to know if my VR is on because I can’t tell if that feature is switched on haha

2:11 The normal L35AF - without data back - also has a metal cover. That's why it's so much more popular than the L35AF2, which not only lost the famous 35/2.8 Sonnar and got a cheaper variant, and lost the filter thread as well and also has a plastic cover and has the risk of starting to bend & show light leaks. I have a L35AF - which I love because of its 1980s design and simplicity - but looking for a P&S with a bit of more reach. I'm in doubt between the TW Zoom 35-80 and the more modern Zoom 310 (very small!) or even the Zoom 500 AF. I'd prefer a zoom that starts at F2.8-F3.5 and is not too big. I also like how the TW2 looks - although it's not really a zoom, more the option to switch between two static viewing angles, with an extender lens dropping in front of the wide angle prime when picking tele. How is the autofocus between the TW2 & TW Zoom 35-80? Comparable to the L35AF or already miles apart? And how is it with the modern Zoom 310 / Zoom 500 AF? Much improved?

I have the nikon zoom 500 af but it's not exactly the same, and I'm trying to figure out how to put a film or how to take it out once it's finished... do you know about it? Thanks for the video

Why does the nikon l35af seem to be more popular than the nikon l35ad? Is there a difference besides the date stamp?

From memory...the L35AF doesn't have ant date stamp functions. It's maybe a little slimmer due to the back not including the date back.
