I found this very interesting that the gear and flaps were down until you came out of the shear. Thanks for the education. My first Instinct would have been to try and gain more speed by raising the gear and flaps on schedule. Very interesting.

I know with the A320 Fenix the windshear détection does work (not the predective system just the windshear alarm when we are in the windshear) Doesn't still working with the PMDG, can you confirm ? Thanks and good day sir

Do all of the aircraft's wind shear system not work? Like the A320 too from fenix? Would Xplane have it?

Right now MSFS doesn’t model Windshear so no aircraft would have a warning system either. You can fake some by introducing very strong gusts at very low altitude, but that’s still different from a real windshear.

The weather radar doesn't work because the required data is not available from the sim. Nothing that can be done there.

I really miss the p3d and xplane days where I could actually divert to different airways with the weather radar and ignore the predictive windshear warnings to see how hard I would slam the ground 😭

Thanks for the video. Here is an excellent example why MSFS needs a third party developer like Active Sky. I remember in P3D with Active Sky the windshear warnings screaming at me in such situations.

Active Sky was very limited in other areas though, overall I still think the MSFS weather engine is the best we've seen so far in flight simulation. But it's got its bugs, that's for sure!
