The ending was obvious to me after the fact, magikoopa is positioned hidden to 'erase' the flagpole before the way to it appears, so by going through the door and then coming back the flagpolew reappeared. It looked cool though.

You can emulate Mario Maker on PC using the Cemu emulator. You can't use online without the risk of getting banned, but you can download community levels manually and import them to the game, and you can also use the level editor.

I'll be honest, when I saw you getting repeatedly bounced to the left by the spring while jumping on the note block, I was thinking you could probably just jump off the left side. :-) Regarding the part where you needed to go over the top of the screen: In your defense, it was only after the most recent update (6 months ago? a year? can't remember) that you could go over bricks (as well as question blocks) that were at the top of the screen - for all levels uploaded prior to that, you can't. And regarding the trick with the flagpole at the end: I'm guessing others have already said it, but I believe he used a magikoopa to make it disappear initially. (You can hear the sound effect of one, presumable hidden behind something, shooting out its magic repeatedly.) But since the pole was covered in bricks when it was made to disappear, you weren't able to see it at any point. Clever. The whole thing was a very clever troll level. The only real flaws were the softlocks after a checkpoint. The first one was probably more random and unexpected, but with the second one it has to be expected there's a good chance the player will crouch jump up to the right. There should've been something to come and kill you after like 5 or 10 seconds.

This troll level was so fascinating, there were times where I thought the creator was hacking the game, and I never actually think that way. I think people are breaking Mario Maker in so many ways at this point that they can make it do whatever they want. Bowser Jr out of bounds.... checkpoint hitboxes disabled... unusally fast object teleporting... the list goes on.
