YOOOO I remember playing all of these games for hours and hours back in the day. Especially Super Mario 63, Super Smash Flash 1&2, and A Koopa's Revenge 1&2. Super Mario 63 might be my favorite flash game of all time, and A Koopa's Revenge 2 is also really good.

Super Smash Flash 2 is so good because it has had 14 years of constant development, and the team has slowly expanded as the game has. (Still being updated, has online lobby, controller support, and the team does "McleodGaming Directs" for updates.)

One day I played the most memorable flash mario game ever. It was kinda "mario run", except for one thing. When you start the level, an advertising comes from nowhere. And as you can't skip the advertising for five seconds, mario dies before you even can see the screen. Sad.

This is a really fun video xD I remember having played the Star Shines one & Super Smash Flash 1 as a kid Not sure if it's on there, but Super Mario Flash & Super Mario Flash 2 were a big part of my childhood. They both have a Level Editor option and there used to be a whole community of level creators sharing levels with each other on the "pouetpu-games" site that the game and its sequel was hosted on. I spent like 5-6 years there and it was pretty great, kinda like an unofficial Super Mario Maker before the real thing came into existence. I've really got those 2 flash games to thank for me being super hyped for Mario Maker & Mario Maker 2, it's just a bit bittersweet that they're mostly gone now and the community doesn't exist anymore. The levels are saved as large piles of text code so they're sharable despite being for a flash game. I've only used those 5-6 years of Custom Mario Levels experience to make 2 levels in Mario Maker 2 though, whoops xD (I didn't have Mario Maker 1 unfortunately)

Another though unrelated series of flash games defying their coding would be the Epic Battle Fantasy games, they evolved quite a bit between each entry as an expanding rpg. That and Starwish, a shmup with an unusual but impressively written story and good music to back it.
