I’m genuinely baffled as to how level creators make aspects of the level change. For instance when you go back through a door and a cannon is blocking it, or when you get a different outcome because you’re small vs big. I’m wondering how it’s done 🤔🧐

The first is done by certain things changing based on where you spawn in a room. Or a setup that changes if you're going back in to a room a second time. The second is usually progressive power ups. For example if you go into a room as small Mario, a mushroom travels onto a note block, which releases a muncher. If you go into the room as super Mario, the mushroom is now a fire flower. Fire flowers don't move, so it doesn't hit the note block, so there's no muncher. Just as an example. You can also do stuff with sprite entity limits and custom screen scrolls to make changes happen. And probably plenty more I don't know about since I'm not a troll maker 🤣

Bologna (real name Mortadella) is called like that in US because it's originally from city of Bologna (Italy). The correct pronunciation is as the same sound as lasa-gna (gn in italian sounds like Spanish letter ñ)
