HS: Something fast/upbeat? Eusha Eusha? (reads out lyrics of the song) It sounds ok right? (continues reading out) Is it too early? Since it's still a baby... Q: Please sing Eusha Eusha as it would sound like if it's a song for prenatal development HS: I won't do it!! I can't, how do you do that? (sings a line that roughly means: don't waste your life away) I think it's too early to play this song for the unborn child. Even though it's an exciting song, the lyrics are too difficult. T.O.P.? There's too much English (lyrics) in it so no either. What about ballads...? But do people really play our music for their unborn children? That's worrying... I'm curious too.. But thank you for doing so... Please play the songs with nice lyrics! Q: Do you remember any interesting episodes relating to concerts? HS: I remember Japan's showcase.. Where I really worked hard on my Japanese album, and even lived there. It was tiring and lonely, but I overcame these and it was the first showcase where I presented the album to my fans. I also remember that I wasn't in good condition, so my performance wasn't satisfactory, and I was really upset after that. I'm sorry that being a pro, I couldn't manage to be in tiptop condition Q: If there has been any changes in your voice now vs when you debut? HS: Even though it's quite embarrassing to say it from my own lips... If I put it nicely, it has become deeper..? If I put it badly, it has become thicker(?). When I sang back in my 20s, it was beautiful/smooth(exact phrase used is 美声), so even if my voice changes a little, listeners would feel a difference. Q: Are you more satisfied with your voice now? HS: Um.. I do prefer my voice a little more now.. upon gaining the singing skills and depth. Sometimes when I sing the older songs, there are times I wonder why I sang like that in the past. But if the question is purely about the voice (debut vs now), it is more difficult to use 美声, it could be more satisfactory, but with regards to expressing the depth of a song, I think my voice now can perform it better haha. In conclusion it's just praising myself XD Q: So you like your voice no matter when.. HS: HAHA if you say it like that, that's right! Why would I dislike my own voice? If I disliked my voice I wouldn't be able to sing. A singing voice is also like an instrument, if you say that it's broken, you wouldn't be able to sing. Q: Do you have a singer whom you wish to do a duet with? HS: Now? Ah I would like to do it with Baek Jiyoung noona. We did try to work together in the past, but at that time noona was busy, so if noona has the time now.. When noona sings ballad songs, she expresses the sadness in the song really well. If we really do a duet, we could probably produce a really sorrowful song. The person I think of right now (for a duet) is noona! Q: What is Shinhwa to you? HS: There are times when we don't agree, times when we are sad at each other.. They are people I've spent almost 20 years with, friends I can sit down with and reminisce, while smiling. We know what each other is thinking, even if not 100%. We're a family.
