Too quick turnaround for Pettis as he’s fighting January, unless it’s a QUICK night for Pettis but he seems to get an injury every fight he’s in these days.

@@SolvingRiddles He hasn't had a fight in 7 years. You can train all you want, but nothing makes up for real fight experience. Pettis would have probably beat him even when he was active, he'd kill him now.

@@SolvingRiddles Yea but they weren't gone 7 years, that's a long ass time. Dom and GSP are both all time greats as well so even if they weren't 100%, they're still good enough to beat most guys. I like Hardy, but he's not a great fighter.

When the lady started talking about “chemistry” and was trying to explain the physiological/medical reasoning behind the needles, I got that “ohhh you’re just bullshitting” vibe. But hey, if it works, it works.
@cvantanajal4 жыл бұрын
That's Heather Linden the director of physiotherapist at the performance institute. Shocking.
@andycopland31794 жыл бұрын
Did anyone else listen to the acupuncture chick and think "you can't change chemistry in cells... You are absolutely winging this."? I understand increased blood flow, but her explaination was absolute bull faeces. Also. If Dan fights Pettis in London, I'll make that my first live UFC event.
@jrrtt254 жыл бұрын
Andy Copland I’m assuming acupuncture just works off the placebo affect? I’ve never heard an explanation of what beneficial mechanisms actually happen.
@maxdavies75324 жыл бұрын
I'm skeptical but when you see professional athletes routinely getting X treatment, I can't help but feel there must be something to it beyond mere placibo. Cells do have chemical reactions going on inside them, I suppose a rush of blood to an area could change those in some way. She did sound like she was making it up on the spot though haha, Jesus.

I think he had to step away for medical reasons. Not that he felt washed up or that he was done or anything. I think it's only been like a year less than 2 that hes been eligible to compete again, and hes been waiting/planning the ideal circumstances of the comeback, or see if hes still got it, or he he should be competing anymore. He wants a meaningful fight, just to see how it goes. And plan from there
