With the speed difference you would’ve thought red corner was the one 2kg over.

That was a beautiful elbow!

One word, Domination !

Amy was just a completely different level than her. 2kg isn’t enough to be upset about. But I definitely understand the homecrowd hating on an American coming in and beating their fighter like that.

I honestly thjnk you're on to sonething here in filming the fight ring side from that angle, i wish big combat sports promotions, like say the UFC, filmed the fights from this angle with the option to also watch it from the way its normally filmed ofcourse, so immersive.

Thank you, we also love this angle it’s more immersive like you say and different to the usual over the top rope angle

Whoa talk about total domination

Why cut at 2:04? Seeing Dani recover would have just as interesting as seeing them just standing there holding the referee's hand.

Why'd they boo her? Beautiful knockout.

she missed weight
@SiamBoxing16 күн бұрын
She missed weight by 2kg or so that may be part of the reason, she was also the away fighter so sometimes it can be like that unfortunately

Bro fans do not like her

It was a nice spinning elbow tbf, but the weight difference definitely played out on the day. They were big numbers in weight difference for such a low weight category, Amy was huge in comparison. It was a disgrace to see such unprofessionalism from her for such an important fight, and naturally the crowd were angered by this.
@marcusg643815 күн бұрын
If you look at her record, she’s never missed that weight before so it could be chalked up as an effect of jet lag. I understand being upset but this was an absolute beating regardless

@marcusg6438 With all due respect, fighters at this level travel overseas all the time, and there is no excuse for not making weight. Dani's previous fight was in Thailand, and she made weight for that, as she always does. Being there in person, you could see the shear difference in size. I believe she was in fact 2.8kg over weight at the day before weigh in, so dread to think how much more she was on fight day. Even 3kg over for a 52kg fight is massive at this level, and I am confident she was considerably more than this.

With all due respect I’m simply pointing out that this is the first miss of this weight so it’s not like she’s fighting someone outside her normal weight class. “Disgrace” is a bit far when red corner knew the discrepancy and agreed to fight regardless. Red corner had basically zero defense and was gifted a great excuse.

It'ss very poor form to miss weight by that much, and then push so hard for a KO - IMO it taints the reputation of the gym which that fighter represents.

I agree. It would’ve been more sporting if she beat Dani up for 5 rounds instead. I’m annoyed no one taught Dani how to defend

@@marcusg6438 I agree Dani didn't do much in way of defence, and I'm sure the result would have been much the same even if both fighters had made weight - Amy is definitely quick and strong. But yeah such a shame, I was fighting on the same card as this other guy who was like something insane like 5kg overweight - both still agreed to the fight and the guy who weighed in over bashed the other bloke for 5 rounds, but other guy got awarded the win - remember in the backroom everyone told me it was good etiquette and that their corner decided not to go for the KO out of respect - was a good lesson to learn for myself.

@@calebrandall9822 yeah dude if Amy had honour she would’ve punched herself in the head really hard at the start of the round. That’s what the Thais do when they come in over weight. A lesson I learned was that fights are fights and if you agree to a fight then you agree you can be knocked out by spinning elbow in front of everyone you know.
