I forget what year it was but during the race I was watching Milka attempt to negotiate the first turn and correctly predicted she was going to crash there. (Just past it to be exact) She had no idea how to drive turn one or anywhere else either.

That is true, I can relate to being the slower guy as well. But she was slower either way, so she should have moved. But you're absolutely right; no driver wants to be slow and it is frustrating being that much slower than another driver. In practice though it's a "gentlemen's rule" to give up the fast line if you're slower. But I see what you're saying :)

Ashes, this is high speeds we're talking about; not blocking someone on your 35MPH two-lane. Danica had every right to be upset at the way Milka was blocking, especially with it being in a practice. I've raced karts for the past 4 years and there is nothing more frustrating than someone slower than you repeatedly blocking the lane. Milka was the first person in the wrong; therefore she started it. Where is the footage of the on-track incident?!

Sorry man, i know that the spec cars have an abundant amount of tunning potential, but that isn't advancing technology. There's a diference between part development and part tuning, and in spec classes the teams don't get to develop there own parts. I do agree with you that sponsors are important in F1, the teams with the most money deffinitely have better research ability and often times design much better cars.

You say "unexpectedly" confronted in the pits, but the way Milka was driving out there, she HAD to expect to be talked to at some point, by someone. Dani was being real cool after she said "I just want to talk to her," but Milka had to be a 36 year old crybaby about it. Racers would rather talk face-to-face than through other people. The timing may have been wrong for Patrick to confront, but this is Milka's fault in the first place.

Average running finish means NOTHING. It's a drivers responsibility to avoid DNFs. Some DNFs may be out of a driver's control, but Marco's high total is due to his impatience and over-aggressiveness. He may eventually have a better career than Danica, but he will have to get those problems under control in order to do so. Until then, he'll be looking up at Danica in the standings, like 3/4 of the rest of the field.

From the looks of it, Danica is taking this too seriously. She was trying to pass, but Milka didn't let her. It was only a practice run, and the passing rule, from my understanding, is only a courtesy. Obviously, Milka was not feeling courteous that day. :-)

Read my response to NEPats79. Marco has 6 DNF's compared to Patrick's 2. Marco's average running finnish is 4.3 and Danica's is 7.9th. Mutoh is a ROOKIE and only 8 points behind Ms Patrick. When Marco doesn't have mechanical problems or a wreck he is consistently in the top 5. Mutoh is performing much better than Danica did in her rookie season. She is with AGR because of sponsorship money! That is the only reason AGR picked her up. Do you honestly think they'd run 4 cars otherwise?

THE FIRST??? What planet were you born on? She only won a race in IRL but there are women racecar drivers who won other well respected racecar series long before Danica. Most motorracing journalists agree that the finest female racing driver ever is Michele Mouton. She almost won the 1983 Rally title against LEGENDS of men fair and square. Also the german woman Kleinschmitt won the notorious Paris-Dakar rally over all the other men. Danica Patrick isn't even a Pat Moss in skill.
