I was blessed to grow up with all the great music from the 60's & 70's. It is rare that I haven't heard a song that is listened to by reactors. Glad for a new generation to hear the music from the past. This is considered a one-hit-wonder. But it is such a happy tune & puts you in a good mood. And I am with you. Let's go to A&W & get a teen burger, onion rings & a root beer float!

1. I was expecting Daniel Boone the frontiersman!😂😂 2. I haven’t heard that song for decades. Yet I can still remember the words and sing along!😬
Oh man, I'd forgotten about the old A&W Rootbeer stand we used to go to when I was a kid. We could get the mini floats in the frosted mugs for a dime! They had a jukebox that was usually playing Snoopy versus the Red Baron or a Beach Boys song. Wish I could go back there for just a little while...😊

In Scotland at every wedding this song is played and the young and old get up to do the "Slosh" to this song. Slosh is a dance, like Saturday Night by Whigfield or the Macarena etc. But a lot older!!

There are a few songs like this that remind me of growing up in the 70's. Just simple fun summer songs for the ride to the lake. If you wan't another one, try "Jeans On" by David Dundas. It's all about slippin' on that pair of jeans (you know the ones) and heading out for a fun day.

I remember having the album, and loving this song, but also falling in love with some of the supporting tracks. There was one that was a father speaking to his newborn son, and another called Funny Little Things That You Do, expressing appreciation for all the little things a wife/girlfriend does to make life better. I would love to find this on CD. I miss this album.
